Luke was walking down the road as he already tested his new power against some other being. His energy manipulation seemed to have gotten much better, but still not good enough to enter that state again. 'The energy manipulation is cool and powerful, but it requires too much understanding and experience. If only I get something else…wait a minute, Luke's thoughts halted as he completely forgot about his fire affinity and Star fire.
"Fire is the weakness of plants and plague. The hell I am doing shoting fucking energy rays, god dame it. I am so fucking stupid" Luke cursed himself for his stupidity as he continued walking and spotted a pack of Spore Hounds. They looked like dogs except for their completely white eyes and spores growing on their body in different parts. They looked towards him as they smelled the air. It was a small pack of 3, which was lucky since usually they travel in a large pack.
One of the dogs jumped onto Luke, hoping to bite him, but Luke used his normal fire affinity to hit it with a flaming breath. The dog whimpered around for a second before going still, its body turned to ash. "I am sorry, buddy, I hope you find peace in your next life," Luke said as he was reminded of his best buddy in his previous life. He also died of natural causes, but that didn't make it any less hard.
The other dogs didn't seem to mind this as they tried to howl but Luke used his energy manipulation to create a hand that shut their mouth. "No you don't. I am not going to face 100 dogs" He said as he used energy to give them a quick death. 'I need to train my fire but not on dogs, it seems I am still carrying some of the morality from my past life onto this one.' He thought as he hummed a beat.
He was then assaulted by a very strange smell, it smelled like someone had left the gas on for a while. He was then assaulted with pleasure, as he started to laugh for no reason. 'What is going on?' he thought as he giggled like a little girl. He saw a bunch of mushrooms dance a very weird dance, like that of ancient tribes. He blinked as his eyelids felt heavy, 'I can't sleep here,' he thought as he fell asleep on the road. Near his feet was a small red plant that looked like a budding flower, although its color made it nearly impossible to see.
Luke blinked as he woke up, his eyes only saw darkness as he felt wine all over his body. 'What the hell?' He thought as he tried to speak, but only muffled voices came out of it. His entire body seems to be covered in wine and strange liquid that seems to make him eat through his skin, as for what he doesn't know, but it doesn't even want to know. 'Looking at my symptoms it seems I threatened a Blister Bulbs, a monster which is neutral and a stationary when it comes to strength it is not that strong except for the drugs it release into your body if you were his victim and then it is said that it will eat you but this is not proven since no one has escaped this monster.' Luke's mind went through the horror told by the books.
'Fuck, Just my luck. First I encounter grasshopper locust, then Blister Bulbs great two of the rarest fucking monster on first floor on my first day, just great' He thought as he tried to manipulate his mana which didn't work at all. He then tried calling forth his energy manipulation which worked but it only ended up being sucked into the wines. 'Maybe if I overload it' He thought as he provided it with a humongous amount of energy and it sucked all of it dry.
Luke was now stuck with no ideas anymore, as he even tried his Starfire, which was only able to set his energy on fire. As he sat there in limbo thinking as the best sucked more and more of his energy, then he opened his eyes suddenly as he thought of an idea. Which could either get him out of here safely or kill him, well, it was worth a try as he focused on his starfire and lit it up, only to find nothing. 'No matter, let's keep trying,' He thought as he went back into practice. Hopefully, his talents help him come out of this situation fine, otherwise, it's over for him.
{An entire day later}
Luke tried to use his star fire again, and then he burst into flames. The flames were pinkish-yellow with shiny stars in them., His blue eyes were now glowing ethereally as they also seemed to turn into flames. The Plants around him turned to ash with the flames he released by burning himself, Slowly, he burned brighter and brighter till the darkness was illuminated with a glorious light. The cocoon burned as Luke fell out of it, and he stood up, still covered in the ethereal flames, as he struggled to stand up right.
When he finally did and started to walk towards the exit, he looked back and said, "Goodbye." The place immediately exploded in a brilliant star fire as he burned an entire colony of Blister Bulbs with their young, too. He walked away from the explosion, as his mouth twitched into a big smile. He said, "I wanted to do that since my past life, man."
Anyway, he set the fire off as he appeared back in his usual clothes, only a little burned. 'That worked very well, I was practicing becoming one with the flame to transform myself into flames. It was an idea from another anime that he had watched in his previous life, but now that he is in a fantasy world, why take the idea? Plus, my energy control also was greatly enhanced.' Luke thought as he flew at great speed towards the starting point, none of the monsters that lived wanted to attack him since he came out of a Blister Bulbs layer. They have very good survival instincts.
