After that, they continued walking side by side, looking for a place to eat that seemed interesting.
Unbeknownst to Naruto, Tenten actually felt a little embarrassed about her unintentional confession earlier.
After eating, Naruto took the lead, searching for the cinema Yenji had mentioned.
Sure enough, there really was one—though it wasn't too surprising since Konoha had one as well.
They entered, bought tickets for a random movie, and sat down in a theater room.
Naruto glanced around. To his surprise, the theater was quite crowded.
Soon, the movie began.
It was a good one. It started with the death of the heroine's lover. Driven by grief, she sought revenge against the one responsible.
But after getting her revenge, what she felt wasn't victory—only emptiness.
She eventually moved to a quiet village to live a peaceful life.
The end.
"That was really sad," Tenten said, wiping away tears beside him.
"Wasn't it?" she asked, looking at Naruto.
Naruto only nodded. He kept staring at the screen, and to his surprise, he saw something.
Yuki Fujikane.
That name... Naruto remembered something. "No doubt, that's her," he muttered softly.
Tenten overheard and asked, "Who? Who is she?"
Naruto turned to her. "No one. Just a mistake. The actress was so beautiful I thought I knew her."
"Huh?"
Tenten was about to ask again, but Naruto quickly stood up. "Alright, let's go."
He held out his hand. "Come on!"
"Yeah, let's go," Tenten replied, taking his hand, and they left to find another place to spend time.
On the way, Tenten was curious about what Naruto meant. But she respected his privacy.
"Anyway, he'll probably tell me when we get closer," she thought, blushing slightly.
"No, Tenten… what are you thinking…"
Naruto felt a slight pressure on his hand, but he ignored it.
They decided to head to the amusement park. They played a few games, ending their visit with a ride on the Ferris wheel.
"T-this is so high… is it really safe?" Tenten asked, visibly nervous, her hands clenched to her chest.
Naruto turned to her. Seeing her like that, he felt a little bad. He gently lowered her clenched fists.
"Relax, it's safe," he replied simply.
Hearing that, Tenten calmed down a bit. She looked at him, and their eyes met.
Naruto gazed at her deeply, and Tenten, curious about his expression, found herself caught in it.
Eventually, she gave up and quickly looked away, a faint blush coloring her cheeks.
Naruto smiled. "I win," he said softly.
With that, silence fell between them. Tenten looked out the window again, where the view of the village was clearly visible.
She looked up at the sky, now painted orange as the sun set, replacing the warm blue with a calming hue.
"This… is nice," she whispered.
"Yeah, this is nice…"
They spent a little more time, and after a few turns, they got off.
"Hey, Naruto…" Tenten called.
Naruto turned. "What is it?" he asked lightly.
Tenten paused for a moment, then looked at him sincerely. "Thank you…"
Seeing her like that, Naruto didn't respond with words. He just gave her a soft nod.
He knew that right now, Tenten was in a vulnerable state. She didn't need words—she just needed him to stay by her side.
They walked again. This time, not to explore, but to return.
On the way, they saw Yenji looking at the flowers.
Naruto smiled and called out, "Yenji-san!"
Yenji turned. He smiled. It was the same young couple from that morning.
"So, how was your day?" Yenji asked immediately.
"It was good," Naruto answered.
"Yes, it was really good," added Tenten beside him.
Yenji looked at them. They seemed calm now—different from the noisy duo that morning.
"Glad to hear that," he said gently.
"So, what brings you back here?" he asked again.
Naruto let out a small breath. "We were just looking for some quiet after such a busy day," he said honestly.
Beside him, Tenten nodded in agreement.
"In that case, go ahead. Why are you chatting with this old man?"
"We just wanted to say hello," Naruto replied.
"Well, you've done that, haven't you? Now go! You're bothering me!" Yenji said loudly, pointing ahead.
"Alright then, we'll get going…" Naruto turned to Tenten, who nodded.
"Go on now, don't make me mad!" Yenji stepped forward and playfully pushed their shoulders.
Tenten and Naruto laughed. They knew Yenji didn't mean it seriously, but they still started walking away.
As they walked, Naruto suddenly stopped.
"Old man Yenji!" he shouted.
Yenji looked back. He saw a goofy smile on Naruto's face.
"Don't die before I come back!" Naruto shouted loudly.
Tenten was shocked to hear that, and Naruto quickly ran off with Tenten in tow.
Behind them, Yenji took off both his sandals and threw them. "You little brat!" he shouted.
"Hahaha!" Naruto just laughed, while Tenten beside him shook her head.
Eventually, they passed through the flower fields and saw the forest they had come through earlier.
Tenten looked at him. "So we're going home, huh?"
Naruto nodded. "You don't want to go home?"
She shook her head. "No! It's just… I feel like it all happened so fast…"
Hearing that, Naruto stepped closer to her. He gently adjusted her hair and quickly placed a white lily in her hand.
"This…" Tenten looked at the flower.
"A gift from me," Naruto said.
Tenten fell silent. She stared at the flower for a long moment. "Thank you…"
"Yeah, you're welcome," Naruto replied.
They started walking again. The walk was quiet, but not awkward. Their interactions were sometimes silly, sometimes deep. And that was what made them enjoy each other's company.
