In times of chaos, dragons rise. Flood dragons soar and transform into true dragons.
Flood dragons are many, but true dragons, in any era, are always rare. Only those who dominate a region and defeat all enemies can be considered true dragons in times of chaos—and such dragons are far stronger than those of peaceful times. They are true overlords forged through blood and corpses.
On the other hand, without absolute strength, one dies on the path to kingship.
An inch of land for an inch of blood—this is no exaggeration. Only the strong are qualified to stand at the summit of the world.
Especially now that the Heavenly Dao has sealed away all great powers, no matter the race—human or otherwise—no one can interfere with the changes occurring in the Eternal Continent. Only ordinary people and the younger generation can fight it out. And those who rise through this are all executioners—terrifying to the extreme.
Without ruthlessness, you won't live long. With too much ruthlessness, you won't live much longer. If you're weak, you won't live at all.
To dominate in a chaotic world—only the strong can do it.
At this moment, Yi Tianxing's strength was unrivaled within the Fate Aperture Realm. He possessed fortune, strength, and remarkable methods. He had even forged a currency—Eternal Coins—that circulated across the world. That in itself symbolized boundless fortune and destiny.
Such a figure would be considered a peerless prodigy in any era.
A true Heaven's Chosen of chaos.
Time passed silently.
The black storm was blocked by the Wind, Flower, Snow, and Moon Formation, forcibly held back from invading. The formation's power was pushed to its limits. Yet, as time passed, one could see the light of the formation barrier begin to dim.
Fortunately, the storm also began to weaken.
ROAR!!
When the fourth dragon roar echoed, the world-shrouding black storm suddenly dispersed. Just as it had appeared mysteriously and abruptly, it vanished just as strangely.
"Four dragon-serpents… The Chaos War Dragon Robe has been baptized in this storm—tempered and reforged. Its essence has greatly increased, and its defense has soared. With this divine power in hand, within the same realm, no one can kill me. Only I kill others—no one kills me. I'm innately undefeatable. Now, let's test the Grand Priest's strength, see what he's truly made of."
Yi Tianxing looked at the newly emerged yellow dragon-serpent, unable to conceal his joy.
The black storm had been terrifying. To be directly exposed to it—most in the Fate Aperture Realm wouldn't last long. Likely, they'd perish. But if one endured, the fortune gained would be immense.
He had forged the Chaos War Dragon Robe.
Four dragon-serpents had been born, forming an invincible shield against all evil.
Whoosh!!
As the black storm dissipated, the formation light barrier also faded.
Phew!
The four—Feng Xianlin and his companions—exhaled in relief. If it had continued much longer, even they didn't know if they could've held out. Countless crystals had turned to dust; their reserves had taken a huge hit. The cost was tremendous.
"We finally made it through. I wonder what disaster comes next," said Hua Mulan, worry on her face.
"Indeed, this desert is strange—too many secrets buried. There's great horror in its depths," murmured Feng Xianlin. The formation couldn't be activated again soon—it had consumed too much. Only Eternal Coins could now power such formations for longer-term use.
This great calamity, it seemed, would not be easy to overcome.
One could see the former oasis buried under thick yellow sand. It would take significant effort to restore it. The black storm may have caused permanent damage.
People were still adapting to this new barren scene.
"Look! What's that?"
Suddenly, a commoner shouted, pointing at the distant desert, fear thick in their voice.
"Skeletons! So many skeletons! They're reviving!"
"Skeleton warriors… terrifying! Are these the undead from legends? Creatures that rise even after death—just bones crawling back out! These are monsters!"
"An Undying Army! So many undead—coming out of the sands! Were they always hidden there, or have they been traveling underground?"
"This is bad—it's the Grand Priest's Undying Army. Legend says that countless lives perish in the desert each day. Buried beneath the sand are endless bones and corpses. When unearthed, they become undead beings. The desert is the perfect place for summoning the dead."
All around the oasis, people swallowed hard, watching as countless undead clawed their way from the sands.
There were skeletons, desiccated corpses, and beast corpses turned undead. A horrifying sight.
No one expected the Undying Army to appear right after the black storm ended. The sheer sight of them rising like a tidal wave shocked everyone. To them, these were monsters—symbols of death. To the ordinary folk, this was evil incarnate.
It also signified one thing:The Grand Priest had awakened.
This was his Undying Army, now laying siege to the oasis.
They were preparing to attack General's Valley.
To conquer the entire desert.
"So fast… this is bad," Yue Qiang said coldly. "The Wind, Flower, Snow, and Moon Formation is spent. They struck right after we burned our trump card."
"Hard to handle. The numbers are immense—tens of thousands already, and still rising. The desert has seen too many deaths. Once the undead are summoned, who knows how many will crawl out? Still, if they're not disciplined elite troops, we might hold out," Xue Kunlun said with a frown, pressure mounting in his heart.
These undead—skeletons brandishing weapons, reeking of death—did not fear, did not retreat. They would attack relentlessly.
They were emotionless monsters, and thus difficult to deal with.
Especially the desiccated corpses—resembling zombies, with powerful bodies. Despite their thin, skeletal forms, they possessed fearsome strength. Mummies, it was said, were made just like this—dangerous, uncanny.
RUMBLE!!
CRACK!!
The earth shook. More and more undead poured out. Every breath added hundreds more. The skeletons spread out, surrounding the Qianjun Oasis.
Their bones clicked eerily as they ran. The dry corpses leapt like fleas—some wielding terrifying scythes.
The pressure grew heavier and heavier.
People could barely breathe—hearts pounding in fear.
"The Grand Priest's Undying Army has truly arrived. And this is just the Grand Priest—what if the legendary Pharaoh awakens? If that happens… the desert will fall."
Voices trembled. Death felt imminent—pressing closer every second.
RUMBLE!!
Just then, the ground shook again. Sand split apart as a massive, towering figure rose.
A giant skeletal general, four or five times the size of ordinary skeletons, emerged. He rode a black skeletal horse wreathed in dark flames.
Behind him fluttered two massive banners.
Words were written on them.
As they fluttered in the wind, people caught sight of the characters. A wave of disbelief swept through the crowd. Many were dumbfounded.
"What… What kind of general is this? Carrying banners on his back?"
"So arrogant! Invincible? He dares to claim he's without rival? This is a joke! An open challenge!"
The crowd in the oasis stood stunned.
"I've fought in countless wars, but I've never seen such a bizarre general. Is he performing opera with banners on his back?" Hua Mulan exclaimed, her expression incredulous.
"A skeletal general like this… the Grand Priest commands such oddities?" Xue Kunlun's face twitched, nearly black-lined with disbelief.
Even Yi Tianxing was speechless, staring at the general.
Written on the banners were two large characters—INVINCIBLE!!
This was none other than the Undying General who once led the undead siege on Xuanhuang City—the shameless and flamboyant "Invincible General."
"This weirdo again? What's he doing here? Something feels… off," Yi Tianxing muttered, frowning deeply.
