The battlefield was a cacophony of chaos, the remnants of Rong Lin's devastating Wind Release: Tornado Hurricane still swirling around them. The rogue shinobi leader and his subordinates stared at the young Uchiha with a mix of fear and rage. Rong Lin's unrelenting ferocity left no room for doubt—he was no ordinary child.
Shimura Oto and Haru Ame Yoru, watching from their hiding spot, were utterly dumbfounded. Their eyes widened as they took in the scene before them, their breaths hitching in disbelief. Uchiha Rong Lin seemed to grow more monstrous with every passing moment.
"You talk too much!!!"
Rong Lin sneered, gripping his kunai tightly as he charged forward without hesitation. His sudden aggression stunned Shimura Oto and Haru Ame Yoru, while Sakumo, hidden in the shadows, muttered under his breath:
"Has this kid gone mad?!"
"Boy, if you're so eager to die, then I'll gladly send you on your way!!!"
The rogue leader's face twisted with anger and frustration as he roared, "Attack!!"
In the pitch-black night, Rong Lin's crimson Sharingan glowed ominously, and the two specially-crafted kunai in his hands shimmered with chakra. Like a kamikaze warrior, he plunged into the fray, undeterred by the overwhelming odds stacked against him.
Having learned their lesson from earlier, none of the rogue shinobi dared to underestimate him. They quickly spread out, surrounding him in a tight circle.
"Boy, die!!!"
The leader drew his ninjato—a weapon similar to Sakumo's—and prepared to strike. Combat! Combat! Combat! At this moment, Rong Lin had cast aside all thoughts of strategy or restraint. His heart yearned for battle, and his blood boiled with an indescribable fervor. This wasn't part of his original plan, but he no longer cared. If his instincts screamed for combat, why resist? He would unleash his full potential and fight until the bitter end!
"Ahh!!!"
Like a caged beast, Rong Lin let out a primal roar, charging forward with his kunai raised high to meet the leader's ninjato.
"Wind Release: Emerald Gale!!!"
Dense wind-natured chakra enveloped his kunai, enhancing its cutting power. These specially-crafted kunai had cost Rong Lin every last bit of his savings, prompting him to silently admire Minato Namikaze's ingenuity. Minato could toss these expensive tools around like they were nothing, practically scattering gold as he went. After all, the special metal used to forge these kunai was worth far more than gold itself!
"Clang!!!"
The clash of Rong Lin's kunai against the leader's ninjato rang out sharply. Despite his small frame, Rong Lin unleashed an overwhelming force that sent the leader flying backward. This only deepened the rogue leader's suspicion—there was no way a mere child could possess such monstrous strength unless he shared some connection with Tsunade, the legendary Slug Princess known for her superhuman abilities.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Blast!!!"
Even as he was propelled backward, the leader swiftly formed hand seals mid-air, summoning a massive water dragon to crash toward Rong Lin.
Danger!
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!!!"
A sense of foreboding surged through Rong Lin. He knew he couldn't afford to be hit by the enemy's jutsu—it would spell disaster. Underestimating him as a mere Genin would be a grave mistake. Whether it was raw strength, mastery of techniques, combat experience, or sheer chakra reserves, Rong Lin was a prodigy among prodigies.
Though fire techniques were naturally suppressed in such a rain-soaked environment, Rong Lin unleashed his attack without hesitation. His goal wasn't to kill but to counter the incoming assault.
This brat!!!
The leader seethed inwardly as he realized Rong Lin's hand-seal speed surpassed his own—and he was a Jonin!
"Roar!!!"
A torrent of rainwater gathered rapidly in the leader's hands, forming a roaring dragon head that surged toward Rong Lin with tremendous force.
"Boom!!!"
A massive fireball erupted from Rong Lin's mouth, colliding violently with the water dragon. Fire and water, inherently opposing elements, exploded upon contact, creating a shockwave that sent steam billowing into the air. Rong Lin was engulfed in the blast, the impact of the explosion tearing through the battlefield. While the Water Dragon Blast lacked direct force, its explosive power was devastating.
"Boy, die!!!"
Seizing the opportunity, one of the Special Jonin swung his massive cleaver toward Rong Lin. The blade struck true, slicing into Rong Lin's flesh. The attacker's face lit up with triumph—but his expression quickly shifted to shock. Though the attack landed, Rong Lin had managed to minimize the damage at the last second.
His combat experience, though extraordinary for someone his age, was still somewhat immature compared to the cohesion and teamwork of the rogue shinobi group. Fighting outnumbered made it easy for them to exploit openings and launch surprise attacks.
"Clang!!!"
The cleaver pierced Rong Lin's skin but couldn't penetrate further. One of his kunai had been positioned just in time, deflecting the blade. A long gash appeared on Rong Lin's skin, and a powerful recoil forced him backward. Blood spurted from the wound almost instantly.
"Die!!!"
Rong Lin understood the principle well: injuring ten fingers was less effective than severing one. With Shimura Oto and Haru Ame Yoru unable to provide meaningful assistance, he relied solely on himself. His thirst for battle burned fiercely, and he trusted his greatest safeguard—if things truly turned dire, Sakumo wouldn't stand idly by. Thus, Rong Lin fought with everything he had.
The rogue shinobi still outnumbered him. Even after taking down the reckless Dakuri, six opponents remained: five Special Jonin and one elite Jonin leader. Surrounded, Rong Lin knew the best strategy was to eliminate the weaker foes first. However, the leader's presence made that impossible. For now, his strength had limits—he wasn't yet at the level where he could defy the laws of nature. Instead, he focused on trading blows and minimizing losses while maximizing damage.
Though the enemy had attacked from behind and the explosion had caught him off guard, how could Rong Lin not notice? With both his Sharingan and Byakugan active, his perception was nearly omnidirectional.
The wind-enhanced kunai sliced cleanly across the attacker's throat as Rong Lin retreated swiftly. A cough escaped his lips, followed by a trickle of blood.
"Hah… Hah…"
The Special Jonin hadn't expected Rong Lin to block the attack with his kunai, leaving his own blade to strike the reinforced tool instead. In the brief moment when his old momentum faded and new strength hadn't yet risen, Rong Lin's kunai had already claimed his life.
