It took Kai a couple of seconds to realize that the young woman had noticed his glare and was reciprocating it. He scoffed quietly as he finished his meal, he stood up abruptly leaving Sakura puzzled.
"Kai? Where are you going?"
Kai glanced at her with a slightly confused expression and spoke calmly.
"I'm going to choose my courses, why do you ask? Shouldn't you be doing the same as well?"
Sakura suddenly averted her gaze and mumbled something in a soft tone under her breath. When she finally glanced at Kai again her expression intrigued him, she was looking at him with something that looked like pity?...
"Oh, well you see I already chose my courses... They were supposed to ask you for the courses you want to be assigned..."
The young man paused and as he felt his blood begin to boil. He smiled crookedly while trying to maintain his composure and then spoke, his words filled with resentment and irritation.
"Oh? Is that it, they just forgot to tell me something as important as that? Wow, I must truly be the most forgettable person ever, hm? I must not exist or something to these bastards."
Kai caught himself before he could spout curses towards all of the staff. He simply shook his head and spoke in a softer tone while trying to keep calm.
"It's fine, could you please just bring me to the main office so that I can choose my course and get my copy of the academy book?"
Sakura paused as if wondering why he needed her help until she heard him say that he still didn't have the academy book. She felt slightly embarrassed after forgetting something like that.
"Of course, I'll bring you there, let me just finish eating really quickly!"

Kai suddenly found himself bored while listening to his professor. He seemed to be slightly uninterested in the lecture but still paid attention and copied things into one of the notebooks the teacher had given him. He was all alone in the classroom, it seemed that out of the 400 students he was the only one who chose to take a survival class.
But to be fair, he couldn't blame them. Listening to an old grey haired man spout nonsense and crack the worst jokes Kai has ever heard during his seventeen years on the earth pales in comparison to sparring and learning self defense. His professor, a British male named Oliver, was probably one of the wisest people Kai has met. But the old man had the absolute worst sense of humor out of everyone he had encountered.
"Kaito! Are you listening, boy you better not be daydreaming in my classroom! Pay attention!"
Kai suddenly snapped back into reality and broke free from his thoughts as his teacher called for him, he quickly nodded and spoke up.
"Yes, I'm listening to teacher Oliver!"
The young man expected a question about the lecture but instead his teacher extended his hand out towards Kai.
"No, now pay up!"
Kai stared at the hand with a puzzled expression before slowly beginning to piece together the joke his teacher was trying to make. But he didn't have enough time to as his professor chuckled and retracted his man.
"You get it? Pay attention and then I told you to pay up!"
While holding back an exasperated sigh Kai nodded slowly and agreed. He was truly getting tired of this class.
"Yes.. I get it.."

Kai was finally in the comfortable space of his room again, he was free from all of the nonsense his professor spouted and called jokes and there were no more hateful glares being thrown his way. It was just him, his bed, and his profile.
The young man was staring at the blue panel before him with annoyance, he was staring at his weapons for a brief period of time.
'Ugh... I miss that dumb little dagger so much...'
To be fair it held some slight sentimental value to the young man for the brief period of time he had it, there was nothing really that great about the dagger. But it was his first item from a trial and he wanted to treasure it, until Wolf King came along. It was a miracle that he even lived, beating it baffled him even more.
'If I didn't use those corpses I would've become one myself... Ugh... It felt so disgusting doing that..'
Kai looked at the palms of his hands and then at the blue panel before him. His eyes swiftly darted over to his tools. He stared at the Crown of the Alpha, which he received after slaying the Wolf King.
The young man shook his head and glanced at his charms, suddenly his eyes widened as he gritted his teeth in anger. When Kai checked the charms section, there was nothing, his charm was destroyed somewhere along the way after he was hit by the Wooden Knight.
'That bastard! This stupid thing didn't even tell me that it had broken, useless!'
While glaring at the blue panel before him, Kai let out a sigh and dismissed it, as the blue panel dematerialized, the young man covered himself with his soft blanket and groaned.
"Forget all of that, can I truly go through a month of listening to teacher Oliver's jokes all day? Why did I only choose the survival course? I should've chosen something on the side, like cooking or something of the sort!"
It's true, Kai had absolutely no idea how to cook. Yes, he did learn a couple of things about cooking monster meat and draining the blood from his teacher, but it was nowhere near as good as knowing how to actually make the meat delicious.
It was going to be a long and infuriating month, Kai really hoped never to see that beautiful woman ever again throughout this month. But he did wish to meet the one in first place, Rin Inoue, but what the young man did not understand was that the woman he hopes to not see again is the same person he wishes to meet.
