✦ At the beginning
At the beginning of humanity,
The Supreme God, creator of all things, shaped seven heavenly beings. Their mission: to watch over the sacred order.
They were called: the Seven Archangels.
And among them stood the first.
The one who was called the Archangel of the Eternal Order... Yshvar.
Firstborn of the light, the wisest, the oldest, the most beloved of all.
Guardian of the divine balance, he scrutinized the wheels of the universe with flawless fidelity.
Long before the stars, even before language and time, he surveyed the heavens, watching over the birth of the stars... and the appearance of man.
✦ The silent observer
At the creation of men, he watched them silently.
He watched over their growth, and guided their evolution.
But in his divine boredom, he decided one day to go down among them.
Draped with light and wisdom,
He walked on Earth,
And the men began to worship him.
The nations erected statues for him.
The kings knelt before his only figure.
For humanity, he was a god.
But Yshvar didn't like them.
He was observing.
He was judging.
✦ The judgment
And the more he contemplated them, the more the misunderstanding was born in him.
He saw men kill for gold.
Betray for a room.
Desecrate divine gifts.
And sell faith for power.
He lives their hatred, their thirst for war, their obsession with power and their weakness...
Yshvar watched them for a long time, but he did not understand.
Why does the Supreme God protect them?
Why did he call them " one of his precious creations " ?
✦ The divine decree
But one day, sitting on the Eternal Throne, the Most High spoke:
"I command you, my children, to watch over man throughout your existence. They are weak creatures yes, but they are also one of my precious creatures. Anyone who hurts man... will reject me. "
Yshvar, standing in front of the Eternal Throne, could not accept it. For him, the man was unworthy, weak and inferior.
But the Supreme God did not return to his word.
And it was with anger that he turned away.
Without shouting.
Without war.
✦ The fall of light
But one night, without warning, Yshvar did the unthinkable.
He entered the Celestial Sanctuary.
In its depths rested a forbidden artifact, hidden since the first creations and sealed by the voice of God himself.
The Dasein Heart : a cursed crystal, born from the remains of a forgotten world and sealed by the Supreme God himself.
It was said that anyone who touched him would see his existence corrupt... or sink into madness.
But Yshvar had only one goal: to erase humanity.
So he decided to ignore the divine warnings and stole what should never have been touched.
The sky rumbled, the stars fell, and the constellations faltered.
When he breathed his divine light into the crystal, something broke...
His light was distorted.
His golden wings blackened.
His mind was flooded with infernal visions.
And his song... disappeared.
Yshvar thus lost his divine nature, and plunged into the darkness.
✦ The hunt
Following this cataclysm, the other six Archangels chased him through the heavens and galaxies.
Their fights shook the universe.
But Yshvar, having now merged with the Dasein Heart, disappeared into the Forgotten Dark Abyss.
The six Archangels returned to the Divine Throne and asked for permission to chase him and judge him.
But the Most High, being omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent, did not answer.
He only says:
"Don't touch it. Watch it. Let it reach its own end."
✦ The return of the fallen
One day, without warning... he came back.
He broke the seal of the abyss of darkness thanks to the power of the Heart Dasein, and a breach tore the skies.
A bottomless chasm appeared above the world.
Yshvar was no longer an archangel.
His wings were no longer golden, and his gaze no longer reflected wisdom or goodness.
Behind him... walked twelve silhouettes.
Twelve powers once sealed in the Abyss.
The Twelve Apocalypses.
And with them, mythical creatures, forgotten giants, and abominations of Nothingness.
Horrors that the world thought it would never see.
The heavens were crying.
The Earth was screaming.
The oceans were rising.
The mountains were shaking.
And the wind... stopped blowing.
Monsters emerged, and before these apocalyptic visions, humans dronned in terror understood:
"The one they worshipped as a god... had become their Scourre."
✦ The silence of the Most High
The nations fell.
The continents collapsed.
The sky was tinged red.
The deserts advanced and the seas receded.
The sun hid behind a veil of blood.
The world was plunged into an era of fear, and humanity lost all hope.
The surviving peoples knelt... no longer to pray, but to implore mercy.
And yet, in this chaos...
The Supreme God did not move.
He sent neither a heavenly army nor divine punishment.
Nothing.
He watched silently.
The Archangels, watching their brother ravage creation, asked permission to go down and intervene.
But the Supreme God said nothing and continued to observe the follies of his creation.
✦ Hope
It was then that in terror and chaos, while humanity resided in fear and desolation, crawling in mud, blood and ashes, a time when the stars themselves seemed to go out one by one, and hope was a forgotten word.
The Supreme God silently decided to put his invisible hand on five human beings still fighting for their freedom.
Not kings, nor wise men.
But humans who kept hope and continued to move forward despite the suffering.
They were able to resist hatred and restore hope to humanity.
In their flesh, He engraved divine stigmas.
Eternal marks.
Fragments of his power, capable of destroying Yshvar.
But He did not guide them, He did not speak to them.
He let them grow up in this devastated world,
In the hope that they reach their full potential.
"I won't kill my son. I will let him see why man is one of my precious creatures.
Thus, he will understand that his judgment is false."
~~~~•~~~~•~~~~
Thus began the era of DarknessDay.
A time when the greatest angel walked against men,
Accompanied by the Twelve Apocalypses and the creatures of the Nothing.
While humanity no longer had an ounce of hope, the Supreme God chose five souls who would bear divine stigmas, bringing hope to humanity.
And in the crash of the apocalypse, among the smoking ruins and the crying of the survivors,
Five flames were born from the darkness, in order to bring hope and light back to humanity.
Thus began the response of humanity in an apocalyptic era.
