"Aw~ Young Master is so cute~"

"Hey you two! Maybe young master wants to sleep so do not make noise!" Helda reprimanded the two younger maids as she entered the room.
'No I am not feeling sleepy but you will never know.' Karl mentally sighed as he closed his eyes falling deep in thought rethinking everything, trying to find a solution to his current dilemma.
'It took me 3 weeks after I had planned, to learn arhius completely. 1 week more than the plan, but on the bright side I can now, easily and precisely, control the ether inside my body and sense it till 1 meter outside of my body!
And that is the cause of the problem I am facing.
I have hit kind of a bottleneck and since then I have been living inside a dark tunnel with no light in sight, at least that is the case mentally.
I got nothing to do, even to go outside I have to cry tens of times to clarify where I want to go, it just takes all the fun out of the outing.
To proceed, I will have to form either an aura core or a mana ring.
There are two types of path a person can take in Arhaven, a mage or an arya.
A mage is someone who uses mana and an arya is someone who uses aura.
Aura and mana are both forms of ether.
A mage forms aura rings and an arya creates aura cores.
But what I want to become is someone who uses both.
People who use both are called arhats.
In the novel, both Karl and Isurt were arhats.
But the novel had also mentioned the disadvantages very clearly.
An arhat has to keep the amount of aura and mana in the same tier.
Tiers are how power is represented.
A tier one mage is supposed to have the same raw strength as a tier one arya.
A mage with one mana ring is considered a tier one and the more the rings the more the tier.
An arya is somewhat complex.
An arya can form multiple cores but that is not what contributes to the tier.
Tier of arya is dependent on the color of the main core.
The color of the main core represents the core's rank with the order being-
Red>Orange>Yellow>Green>Cyan>Blue>Violet.
Red is the color of a just formed core.
Wait where was I? Oh yeah an arhat has to keep the tier of the aura core and mana ring the same, so only people with equal mental and physical potential should become an arhat.
If one of the core or ring is higher tiered than the other then... the body explodes.
I don't understand how that happens even though aura and mana are not repelling energies.
But for that reason I will not be able to become an arhat if I form a mana core, sigh.
Also not like I know how to form a mana core.
I will also have to make mom and dad agree to me becoming an arhat later on.
Another issue with arhats is that they are slower than mages and aryas which is pretty understandable as while mages and aryas have to focus on one thing arhats have to focus on two so their speed is half the mages and aryas.
Though if we talk about strength, an arhat will easily crush a mage or an arya of the same tier even if they gang up together on the arhat.
But due to the slow growth that benefit is not something to consider.
I do not have to worry about slow growth though.
In the novel, Isurt and Karl were so talented that even though they were arhats, their growth was faster than any other mage and arya even breaking records!
So if I try to become the strongest, Isurt will be the only one who can give me some competition not that I mind that.
Unlike what Karl did, I would rather befriend Isurt, would be more helpful.
But that is for later, for now I have to think of a way to develop or at least pass time till I can move around.
I think I will be able to move when I turn two but the formation of mana ring and aura core will only happen later on when I turn three.
It was mentioned in the novel that at the age of three, noble children go through a ceremony where they form aura core and mana ring under guidance of stronger mages and aryas.
But that is something only nobles do as for the commoners they choose their path on how their mind and physical body is as a child.
That is something very wrong as just because a person is born with a weak body or mind does not certify the potential which the nobles test.
Hearth family is a family of aryas with strong physical potential is they are said to have dragon blood in them so it will come as a shock when I explain to my parents that I want to become an arhat but the stupid Karl could do it so won't be too difficult.'
As Karl was thinking, he felt his body being lifted and he found the identity of the lifter as he opened his eyes.
"Ooh did I wake up my sweet baby?" Martha cheered as she took Karl out of the crib, in her arms.
'Granny? I would love to pass time with you but I am doing something important. I need to find a solution or passing time will be the only thing I will do for the next two years.' Karl thought as he closed his eyes again.
"Ooh are you sleepy? You can sleep in my arms, I won't mind it." Martha smiled gently as she looked at Karl closing his eyes even after seeing her.
"I was bored so I thought I thought of taking a walk with my cutie pie." Martha said as she walked out of the room into the corridor.
'For fuck's sake, granny! Don't cringe me as I am thinking something important.' Karl grimaced as he heard his granny's words.
Seeing his expression made Martha chuckle.
"You look just like your grandfather when someone tries to butter him up." Martha continued with a chuckle as she kept walking in the corridor, earning bows from everyone who sees her.
'Oh? He also hates buttering? We got some similarities there but that will not make me forget the blatant cold shoulder he gave me. He acted cold towards me so it will be justified if I give him the cold shoulder when I grow up.' Karl nodded as he thought.
Martha misunderstood Karl's nod as his interest at the mention of his grandfather.
"You like your grandfather? He is a very good person even though he might not look like it. He is just a little bit heart broken due to... the events he went through." Martha said, her expression turning sad.
'Did I ask? I don't give a fuck. I tried bonding with him and he ignored me, matter closed. If he is broken it is his problem and I don't think he will be more broken than I was in my last life. Being broken-' Karl stopped thinking as he remembered something.
'How the fuck could I forget such a important part!' Karl exclaimed in his mind as he finally saw light at the end of the dark tunnel that his mind was in. He had finally thought of a solution to his problem!
Karl started laughing, knowing the importance of the thing he had just remembered.
Martha did not understand what Karl was laughing for, but his laugh made her lose her expression of sadness as she continued walking, smiling gently.
