Jin Woo's car pulled up smoothly alongside the curb in front of Minji's apartment building. The evening air had grown cooler as darkness settled over the city, street lights casting a soft glow across the sidewalk. He turned to face Minji in the back seat, his expression more serious than it had been during their drive.
"I'm sorry about my mother," Jin Woo said, his voice carrying a hint of embarrassment. "For her making you babysit my niece and nephew tomorrow. If you don't want to, you don't have to force yourself to do so."
Minji's lips curved into a reassuring smile. "It's okay, really. It's only for one day," she said, adjusting the strap of her purse. "Plus, I love kids. I'm actually looking forward to spending time with them."
Jin Woo seemed relieved but still slightly concerned. "You sure? My mother can be... persuasive sometimes."
"I'm sure," Minji replied with a small laugh. "Besides, it'll be fun. How much trouble can two kids be?"
