Chapter 109 - 109

"We were wrong before," Fang Bie said. "Drawing Sword is indeed a very powerful attack Item, but when facing Ghasts, an ordinary Iron Sword can effectively launch a counterattack."

Fang Bie finally understood where he had gone wrong. Even in the Game, when attacking solid creatures, one mostly used knocking rather than slashing.

The sword of the Drawing Sword, when drawn, actually only possessed damage and no substance, so it couldn't counter these solid Fireballs.

Because the blade was too narrow, he couldn't even accurately strike the Fireball with every Attack.

"If I use this kind of wider Sword, every Attack I make will be solid, and I can counterattack the Ghasts very quickly!" As Fang Bie spoke, another Fireball rapidly flew towards him from the Distance.

Fang Bie suddenly flicked the Long Sword in his hand upwards. The Fireball, which they had previously tried every method just to barely deflect, surprisingly made a miraculous spin right on his Sword's blade and flew back the way it came.

"Eee-ing!!" Only a pained shriek and a sigh-like roar were heard. This incomparably huge Monster, as large as a House, just dissipated into the Air.

"I'll go take a look!" Xiao Yan excitedly ran over. Fang Bie didn't follow him; instead, he continued along the Road, placing Torches.

To ensure the Road was easily identifiable, they placed their Torches very regularly, mostly along both sides of the Road or on the Riverbank of the Lava River. Even with a casual glance upwards, Fang Bie could always find their way back through this deep red Hell.

Before Fang Bie could even finish placing these road sign-like Torches, Xiao Yan excitedly ran over from the Distance.

"Fang Bie!" he yelled from a Distance. Because he couldn't use Battle Qi, he was no different from an Ordinary Person, and their communication still relied mainly on shouting.

"What's wrong?" Fang Bie asked, a little puzzled.

Xiao Yan excitedly waved the teardrop-like white Object in his hand, saying, "Come take a look, there seems to be a very strange Building over here!"

"Strange Building?" Fang Bie immediately became alert at that. Buildings in Hell... besides the Hell Fortress, what else could it be?

He quickly put down the Torch he was holding and, following the Road ahead, casually placed it on the Road.

The white teardrop in Xiao Yan's hand also came into sight. "Finally got one, that was tough!"

Fang Bie sighed.

"Yeah!" Xiao Yan said, also feeling emotional. "Earlier, we finally managed to kill two Ghasts with Bow and Arrow, but all the Items fell into the Lava. This time, it finally appeared on the Ground."

He held up the Item in his hand and asked, "What's this teardrop for?"

Smiling, Fang Bie placed the last Torch he held on the Ground. "It's called a Ghast Tear. It's a Material that only Ghasts drop. Its Effect is to make Regeneration Potions, which can continuously restore lost Health Points."

"If your Master had this Potion when he was poisoned, just having him drink it would have been enough. There would have been no need for all the trouble that followed."

Regeneration Potions and Recovery Potions have completely the same uses in the Game, but in Reality, they are worlds apart.

Recovery Potions, as their name suggests, are still used for rapid healing, recovering from Injuries, and Potions that increase Vitality within the Body.

Regeneration Potions, on the other hand, transformed from practically useless Potions like chicken ribs, into a type of truly effective Potion that could restore Vitality already lost within the Body, and even, in some situations, could have miraculous healing effects.

Fang Bie had also learned this from the Synthesis Guide. This Book seemed to possess an especially peculiar Effect: after Fang Bie discovered a certain Mod, the Items and Substances within it would automatically appear in the Book.

Fang Bie had discovered this when flipping through some Synthesis Formulas that he didn't quite remember. At that moment, he was overjoyed.

"This Potion..." Unlike Fang Bie, who didn't need to recover his Body at all, Xiao Yan quickly realized the immense Effect this Potion would have.

"This Potion is truly amazing!" He was genuinely amazed. Fang Bie, of course, wouldn't become arrogant just because of this.

Because of the intertwined Relationships between various Rules and Items in the Minecraft World, perhaps what seems like a heaven-defying Item to an Ordinary Person might just be a small trinket in their daily Life.

"I'll make a bottle for Tony when he comes next time," Fang Bie said casually. "But knowing his personality, he might not even want me to help him close up his Wounds."

"You're right." Xiao Yan nodded in agreement, casually put away the Ghast Tear, and pointed towards the huge Building ahead that seemed to pierce the Sky.

"That's the Place I was talking about, the Fortress on the Lava Sea, right?" Xiao Yan emphasized the term.

"Sea Fortress? Shanghai?" Fang Bie silently retorted. He nodded and said, "That's right, these blackish-red Stone Bricks should be the outer Wall of the Hell Fortress."

Frowning, he looked up at the incomparably huge Building, a bad feeling arising within him. "We're not at its base, are we?"

Hell is actually very different from the outside world. The biggest difference is that it's divided into many layers. Because there is no Sky, the Space of Hell is mostly filled with Hellrock and Lava.

What worried Fang Bie was that if they were currently at the lowest level of Hell, and this vertically descending Building was just the Hell Fortress from the top level of Hell, extending downwards, then its height alone could be several thousand meters.

"I think this is going to be a tough fight!" Fang Bie said, his gaze a little heavy.

"Who cares? Let's just dig!" Xiao Yan had already charged forward with his Iron Pickaxe raised.

"It's best to make a Passage inside. If we get bombarded by those spirits again out here, we'll be in a precarious situation, dying without even knowing how we died!" Fang Bie said quickly, following after him.

The closer he got, the more he could feel the grandeur and unusualness of this Hell Fortress. This feeling only arose when he approached a City.

Xiao Yan had already made a Cut into this incomparably huge pillar. Following the Space between the surrounding pillars, Fang Bie saw the remaining pillars standing tall in this Area.

"It doesn't seem too big." Fang Bie reassured himself. Following behind Xiao Yan, he began to build a staircase spiraling within the pillar.

Just like the Stairs in those Towers, there wasn't much difference. The two of them circled the edge of the pillar, digging out a gradually ascending Steps. Large amounts of Materials accumulated in their Backpacks, and the Road quickly progressed upwards with their construction.

From time to time, Fang Bie would dig a Hole in the outer Wall to serve as a Window, not only monitoring their progress but also to observe the Situation outside.

"Another long, tedious stretch of Time..." Fang Bie thought. "But we're finally just a step away from our Target."
