Chapter 76 - Chapter 75: Hunting Game

The corner of the Astral-class man's mouth lifted up in a cold smile as he slowly removed his black cloak, revealing his angular but brutally smiling face, "Introduce yourself, my name is Lee. mia, your strength is indeed good, and your abilities are something I've never seen before, so it's no wonder that Ethan can't do anything with you. However, unfortunately, it's me you've met. You can't bridge the gap in rank."

Lee slowly raised his palm, and an icy blue cold aura quickly condensed, followed by a furious assault on Mia. Mia did her best to try and defend, but the icy cold air instantly destroyed her energy barrier.

"Ah!" Mia let out a miserable scream, and her body, which had been attacked by the cold air, fell to the ground with violent trembling.

Lee looked at her with interest, his voice contemptuous with a hint of cruelty, "I originally thought it would give me more pleasure, it seems that I slightly overestimated you, but that's okay, I like to take my time and enjoy the process of my prey's struggle the most."

After saying that, Lee shot another round of ice pick over, Mia braced her body to try to resist, but was unable to do so against the strong power of Astral class, the ice pick shot through Mia's thigh, Mia once again ended up in the bottom, Lee smiled even more cruelly as he watched Mia struggling.

Outside the hall, Ian had just arrived and saw the scene. He acutely sensed Lee's unfathomable strength and quickly lowered his figure, hiding in the shadows outside the hall to observe the situation. "Damn it! How could there be an Astral-class alien, we have to find a way to save Mia in a hurry!"

Ian pondered for a moment and soon had an idea in his mind. He decided to take a gamble and use his diverse abilities to create chaos.

He opened the Shadow of Concealment and quietly approached, at this time Lee was still torturing Mia, Lee didn't think there was anyone in the lower world who could be compared to himself, so he didn't pay attention to his surroundings, which also created an opportunity for Ian's approach, after Ian reached a relatively suitable distance, he suddenly unleashed a powerful mental shock at a member of the Storm Council behind Lee.

"Ah...!" That member let out a heart-rending scream and fell to the ground holding his head in agony.

Lee and Ethan were instantly attracted by the sudden scream behind them, and turned around to look violently. It was during this gap that Ian quickly unleashed his smoke-making ability, and in an instant thick smoke filled the hall. This was looted from a certain Flare-class officer who was chasing Rayne, and Ian had thought it was an ability of little use, but never thought that it would unexpectedly come in handy today.

Ian rushed towards the fallen Mia as fast as he could, picked her up and rushed out of the hall without stopping.

Lee quickly reacted, his whole body energy erupted, shaking the smoke away, the smoke dispersed, Mia in front of him had already disappeared, Lee was furious, and shouted sternly, "Chase!"

Ian was carrying Mia in his arms and ran wildly towards the city gates as fast as he could. He kept releasing smoke to obstruct the pursuers' sight and pursuit route, with Lee and Ethan following close behind.

Ian had already increased his speed to the limit, and the gravity control was kept on, reducing the gravity around himself to increase his speed, and on the streets, the smoke released by Ian was everywhere. He hoped to use the smoke to delay Lee's speed, Mia weakly opened her eyes and looked at Ian, who was full of perseverance, and weakly said, "Ian, put me down and go first yourself!"

Ian shook his head firmly, "Don't say anything stupid, I would never leave you behind."

Lee's voice came leisurely from behind, "Run away, faster, maybe you'll still see the sun tomorrow!"

Ian clenched his teeth and stopped looking back. He felt the great sense of oppression radiating from Lee and knew that he had no chance of winning against him. Unless .....

Soon, Ian reached the city gates. But Lee and Ethan also caught up, and Ian thought in despair in his heart, "Still underestimating the speed of the Astral class, it looks like we can only use our last resort. "

However at that moment Lee slowly raised his palm and signaled the pursuing soldiers to stop. "Interesting, I didn't expect that there would be someone who dares to rob the prey right under my nose." Lee smiled grimly, his eyes filled with the cruel excitement of a hunter, "In that case, I'll give you a chance to escape! I love the process of hunting, especially seeing the prey flee in terror."

Ethan frowned and reminded, "Lord Lee, it's better to finish them off as soon as possible so as not to have a long night."

"Shut up! Are you teaching me how to do my job?" Lee chided impatiently, staring coldly at Ian's back, "Where else do you think they're going to run to? I just want to enjoy the ride."

Ethan was too silenced to speak again, keeping his head down as he followed Lee.

Ian clenched his teeth and held Mia tightly in his arms as he ran as furiously as he could towards the outskirts of the city. He knew clearly that Lee was teasing them, but at the moment, he had no choice but to do his best to try to escape.

"Ian, can we really escape?" Mia's voice was filled with worry.

Ian held Mia's hand tightly and said in a deep voice, "We will definitely survive, I promise you!"

Lee, on the other hand, slowly approached from the rear, letting out an icy scoff every now and then, "I'm starting to get tired of this game, can you guys try a little harder? Otherwise, I'm really going to lose my patience."

Lee let out weak attacks as he spoke, forcing Ethan to keep dodging while Lee watched from behind with a hearty laugh. Ethan followed Lee, wanting to say something but not daring to.

Ian was anxious in his heart but could do nothing about it. He could only continue to run, doing his best to protect Mia. He understood that he had to find a chance to be able to escape now, otherwise both of them would not be spared.

At this moment, the forest outside the city gradually came into view, and a glimmer of hope flared up in Ian's heart, "Hold on just a little longer, we'll be able to enter the woods!"

Lee, however, sneered and whispered, "You think the forest can save you? Childish!"
