Cail is now walking ahead with a small tail. A very small tail that won't stop chattering nonstop.
His name is Veyr. A very curious child filled with wonders and questions. Cail had even thought about leaving him behind. But this kid, Veyr, was right about one thing: he could offer benefits that would make anyone tolerate his behavior.
While his ability is environment manipulation, that didn't seem to be the case. Veyr can detect void artifacts, shifts in void energy, and other anomalies. He's basically a walking detector.
Although Cail discovered that he couldn't use any artifact beside his glasses, discovering artifacts are still good. This is his personal stash and he could sell it for whatever price he want.
This Veyr seemed to be a bit of an odd one, but Cail could manage it just fine.
Now, Veyr asked one of those strange questions. "Do you think my real parents were boring? Is that why they died first?"
