At the Pokémon Center in Pallet Town, Melanie was diligently studying nursing techniques.
Holding a giant syringe in her hand, she marveled, "This must be for Pokémon that are as big as people!"
She carefully injected the simulated Pokémon model, completing the same procedure Kazuki had taught her.
Phew~ Finally got the medicine done!
Mmm~ I... too...
At that exact moment, thousands of miles away, Delia exhaled a long, satisfied breath.
Both women, in their own ways, had solved the same problem.
After tidying up the medical equipment, Melanie headed back to her assigned room, ready to unwind with a hot bath.
Kicking off her little white shoes, she rolled down her white stockings, revealing her smooth legs, then slipped out of her nurse's uniform.
Opening her suitcase—
"Ah!"
A startled cry burst from Melanie's lips.
"W-What... what is this?"
Inside was an entire suitcase full of swimsuits and... flirty lingerie.
Her cheeks instantly bloomed pink.
Picking up a particularly scandalous piece, Melanie giggled softly. "Delia... Delia..."
"Back home you acted like you weren't that bold..."
"But look at you—preparing so many surprises for Kazuki!"
She rifled through the case; aside from the naughty outfits, there were thankfully two sets of normal clothes.
"Phew, at least there's something I can wear to study here!"
"Otherwise, I don't even know how I'd survive my time at the Pokémon Center!"
Melanie pulled out the regular clothes.
Thanks to their similar body types, she could easily wear Delia's clothes—even their undergarments were the same size.
Sitting on the bed, Melanie pondered, staring at Delia's box of "goodies."
"By the timeline... Delia must've already arrived in Vermilion City!"
Glancing at the calendar, she grinned.
"Right during her safe days too!"
"She's probably... being reckless again."
"Ahhh, how blissful..."
She shook her head hard.
"Nope, can't think about it anymore! Bath first, bath first!"
Stripping off the last of her clothes, Melanie bolted into the bathroom.
----
At the five-star hotel in Vermilion City
Delia knelt on the floor, scrubbing furiously.
Shame burned across her cheeks as she desperately tried to clean up the mess, making it less obvious before finally fleeing to the bathroom to rinse herself off.
When the sound of rushing water faded, she emerged wrapped in a fluffy white towel, her steps unsteady as she wobbled straight into Kazuki's waiting arms.
Kazuki chuckled, kneading her soft foot.
"What happened to you tonight?"
Delia buried her face against his chest, whispering sweetly,
"It's all because of you, Doctor Kazuki!"
"You... you blew up a tsunami!"
"Is it because we hadn't seen each other for so long... or was it something else?"
"Anyway... you were amazing tonight. I love you even more now."
Kazuki grinned.
"Maybe it was your fault too."
"Or maybe..." he glanced over at the torn white stockings tossed at the edge of the bed, "maybe it's because of that uniform."
Delia slapped his chest lightly.
"You're unbelievable! I told you—that was Melanie's work uniform!"
"And you still ripped it apart!"
"You looked way too good in it. I couldn't help myself," Kazuki said, leaning in closer, making Delia shiver delightfully against him.
"F-Fine then," Delia pouted, giving in instantly.
"If you like it that much... I'll buy a few more outfits just for my Doctor!"
Hearing that made Kazuki's heart swell with joy.
As Kazuki slowly teased her back into a second round, he asked casually,
"So, what's your plan next?"
"Mmm, next..."
Delia pressed her body against his, whispering between soft gasps,
"I'm going to travel with you guys along the coastline for a bit..."
"Then... I plan to take a ship to visit an old friend who's invited me countless times."
"I never had the time before with all the work, but now... I want to finally see her!"
"An old friend? Who?" Kazuki asked curiously.
"She lives in Vaniville Town, over in the Kalos Region. Her name's Grace."
"She's an amazing Pokémon Trainer too!"
"If there's a chance, I'll introduce you two!"
Kalos!
The moment Kazuki heard that name, he immediately thought of Kalos' beloved Princess—Serena.
So the perfect script had arranged for him to weave connections toward Kalos early on...
I thought it'd be a while before heading there, but with Delia's connection, I can start preparing ahead of time!
"Sounds great! I look forward to meeting your friend," Kazuki said sincerely.
Delia laughed mischievously.
"Why is it that the moment you hear her name, you suddenly get so excited?"
"You already have Melanie, Misty, and me to deal with—aren't you worried about exhausting yourself?"
Kazuki grinned wickedly.
"Exhausted? Maybe I should give myself a full-body checkup again."
"Eep—Kazuki!"
Delia's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"I'm ready!"
But just as he was about to pounce—
"Wait, wait!" Delia cried, halting him.
"I... I need to run to the bathroom first!"
"I should rinse off a bit first..." she said shyly.
"Otherwise, it's still... dirty..."
Blushing furiously, she lifted the blanket, dashing barefoot toward the bathroom.
Hearing the water running, Kazuki smirked, flipping onto his feet and quietly sneaking after her.
----
After a long night of thorough inspection
Delia no longer had any doubts about Kazuki's stamina.
The next morning, at the hotel restaurant—
"Hey, Kazuki... did Delia eat something bad last night?" Misty asked worriedly between bites of seafood porridge.
"Why do you say that?"
"I went to say good morning to her just now... but she looked so weak! She said her whole body was sore!"
"Maybe she caught a stomach bug?"
Kazuki chuckled as he sipped his porridge.
"Don't worry. She ate the best thing last night—extra rich in protein."
"She's just a little worn out from traveling. Let her sleep it off."
"Come on, eat up. After breakfast, I'll go with you to visit Officer Jenny."
"Huh? Why are you going to see Officer Jenny?"
In her spare time, Misty liked to ask Officer Jenny for tips on "womanly charm"—not that she'd ever admit it outright.
"Relax! I won't bother your lessons. I'm just going to check on that scumbag, Lt. Surge, and see how long he's getting locked up."
"And lately," Kazuki added, "I've noticed some shady people lurking around the coast. I want to give Officer Jenny a heads-up."
"Ohh, I see," Misty nodded, happily picking up a cookie.
"A-And I'm not going to learn womanly charm or anything, okay!" she huffed.
"Yup, yup, of course," Kazuki teased, ruffling her hair.
Misty beamed.
Despite staying up late studying with Nurse Joy, just hearing Kazuki's careful attention made her feel everything was worth it.
After breakfast, the two of them headed to the police station.
Lt. Surge's crimes had been confirmed; now only sentencing remained.
Officer Jenny was busy for half the day, but afterward, she had free time.
Unfortunately, because of Kazuki's high Justice Reputation, Jenny often sought him out to chat—leaving Misty struggling to find private time to ask her delicate questions.
In the afternoon, when Nurse Joy returned to work, Misty shifted her battlefield to the Pokémon Center for further study.
With Misty gone, Kazuki spent some time chatting with Officer Jenny, subtly testing the waters.
"Officer Jenny," Kazuki asked casually,
"If someone wanted to report a crime... but it hasn't happened yet... would you still investigate?"
Jenny thought for a moment.
"Depends on the credibility of the person. If it sounds like total nonsense, I might not act."
"After all, in this city, there are always real crimes happening—we have to prioritize."
"What if it's me?" Kazuki teased.
"If it's you, Kazuki, I'd definitely trust you!" Jenny answered without hesitation.
"From the moment I met you, I felt you were a person of true justice!"
Thanks to his Justice Reputation, Jenny had full faith in him.
"But that's just my personal stance," she added.
"If it requires deploying a lot of officers, then we'd need actual evidence..."
"Or, if the informant has enough influence—like a Champion, or a recognized figure."
"You've traveled enough by now—you know how society works, right?"
"In real life, official procedures often take influence and reputation into account."
Kazuki nodded understandingly.
No matter the world, it seemed human nature and social mechanics remained the same.
Just then—
"Thief! Stop that thief!"
A shout echoed from outside.
Jenny instantly straightened, revving up her motorcycle.
"Sorry, Kazuki! Duty calls!"
"If you have any trouble, come find me—I'll help you, no matter what!"
With that, she sped off to chase down the culprit.
Left alone, Kazuki stood in thought.
While Jenny trusted him, boarding the S.S. Anne—the world-famous luxury liner—would need more than one Officer Jenny.
To conduct a real search aboard the ship would probably require the police chief's direct involvement.
Woooo~~ Woooo~~
Just then, a loud horn sounded from the harbor.
Looking up, Kazuki saw a colossal ship approaching—
The S.S. Anne had docked!
