Nanami Kento adjusted his glasses and walked onto the rooftop along with the others.
Suddenly, his expression shifted. He glanced toward a dark corner — a cursed spirit was hiding there.
"I'll take care of this one," he said calmly. "Itadori, you handle the other one over there."
Yuji Itadori turned his head — another cursed spirit had somehow appeared behind him without him noticing.
"If you feel like you can't win, just call me," Nanami added.
"You don't think much of me, do you?" Yuji retorted.
"This isn't about thinking highly or not," Nanami replied. "I'm an adult, and you're a kid. It's my responsibility to look out for you first."
"Being treated like a kid feels worse than being underestimated," Yuji said, clearly annoyed.
"To my knowledge," Nanami continued, "you've only experienced one event that could be considered truly dangerous — the time you touched Sukuna's finger and your body was unexpectedly infused with cursed energy.
Aside from that, you haven't really encountered any real crisis.
So in my eyes, you're still a child.
Even if you were a jujutsu sorcerer raised in this world and seasoned from a young age, that doesn't automatically make you an adult.
You only grow up when little despairs pile up — like finding more hair falling out on your pillow, or the convenience store discontinuing your favorite stuffed bread."
"Ugh! I don't want to go bald!" Yuji exclaimed.
Paimon said, "That's so sad... Paimon definitely doesn't want to become _that_ kind of adult."
Lumine nodded in agreement.
Nanami Kento: "..."
"Lumine, just watch from over there," Nanami instructed. "Your task is to supervise Itadori. Unless his life is in danger, don't intervene."
Zephyr replied lazily, "Yeah, yeah, I'm not interested in jumping in for some low-level mobs anyway."
Nanami then approached the cursed spirit and said coolly,
"No matter what kind of opponent I face, my technique can forcefully create a weak point — a 7:3 ratio.
By dividing the target's length into segments, if I strike at that specific point, it becomes a critical hit.
Even against stronger enemies, I can still deal considerable damage.
If the opponent's cursed energy is weak, even this blunt blade can cut them clean in half."
"Yeah yeah yeah, I get it, I get it — stop explaining," Zephyr interrupted, sounding a little sour.
If only he had that kind of ability… Every slash a crit — he wouldn't even need to stack crit rate on his artifacts, just full crit damage. His DPS would skyrocket.
Paimon complained, "Exactly! Are you sure it's okay to say all that out loud? It totally feels like those villains who ramble on about their powers in detail, only to get taken out by the protagonist right after."
Nanami replied calmly, "I'm instructing Itadori. And yes, those situations do happen — but as long as the opponent isn't dangerous enough for it to matter, or if saying it can mislead them, then it's fine."
Yuji Itadori's eyelid twitched violently. He was trying to focus on the cursed spirit in front of him, but Nanami's endless talking made it impossible to concentrate.
Zephyr added, "Looks like your training in the little dark room wasn't enough. I'll talk to Gojo and have them double the time."
"Compression belts!!! I can't take any more of those trash movies!!"
One second it's a comedy, and the next the heroine suddenly dies. He couldn't stand it anymore. _Stand-up comedy skits were the only exception!_
Meanwhile, Nanami was still going on: "Of course, there's an upside too. It significantly boosts the technique's effect. For example—like this…"
_Slash!_
A perfect 7:3 ratio!
The cursed spirit was instantly sliced apart, its body cleanly severed.
Yuji stared in disbelief. That was a _blunt blade_ wrapped in several layers of cloth — and he'd used the _back_ of the blade, yet he'd still one-shot the cursed spirit.
And then Yuji immediately got punched hard by his own cursed spirit opponent.
"Ow!! That hurts!!"
Nanami said coolly, "Letting your eyes wander during a fight isn't good."
"It was you who distracted me!!"
He took a deep breath and tried to focus again.
At that moment, a conversation with Gojo came back to him.
*"Yuji's cursed energy lags a bit behind."*
*"His cursed energy can't quite keep up with his explosive physical speed, and he hasn't mastered the technique of holding cursed energy in place yet.*
*As a result, it tends to trail behind along his attack path, creating irregular cursed energy flows.*
*Basically, the moment the punch lands, the cursed energy hits right after.*
*That means — one strike causes two impacts."*
…
_One punch. Instant kill!_
_Divergent Fist!_
Yuji was thrilled.
"Hey, Big Sis! Did you see that? I actually pulled it off!"
Zephyr said flatly, "What are you so excited about? That thing was weak as hell."
Nanami adjusted his glasses.
"Huh? But it looked super strong to me. I mean, it went down in one punch!"
Zephyr replied, "That jujutsu technique of yours? It only works against weak opponents. If you're up against someone much stronger than you, it's basically useless."
"You always love raining on people's parade, don't you, Big Sis… But seriously, _anyone_ would have a hard time fighting someone way stronger than them, right?"
As he said that, he looked at Nanami… then glanced at Zephyr.
Yuji Itadori was feeling defeated and curled up on the ground, drawing circles with his finger.
"You two cheated, so it doesn't count…"
Nanami Kento said, "Itadori Yuji, that move was pretty good — but I have one question. What's with that giant sword on your back? Why are you using your fists?"
"You mean this big sword? Well… I just feel more comfortable using my fists.
Also, in tight spaces, a huge sword isn't nearly as practical as a fist…
B-but I'm not saying swords are bad or anything! Don't get the wrong idea, Big Sis!"
"I don't care," Zephyr replied flatly. "Just use whatever suits you best."
"Now then," she continued, "since you've managed to pull off that move, it's time to teach you a really powerful one."
"Black Flash."
Suddenly, Nanami raised his head.
"Black Flash? Miss Lumine, are you being serious?"
"What's Black Flash?" Yuji asked.
Zephyr explained, "In simple terms, Black Flash is when your body, soul, spirit, and cursed energy all align perfectly — a full synchronicity of mind and body — allowing you to unleash maximum damage.
It's also called the _Quantum Punch_. It can deal 2.5 times your normal damage."
"No way! That strong!?"
Nanami added, "It is incredibly powerful, yes. But the conditions to use it are extremely strict.
Frankly, I don't think Yuji Itadori is ready for it yet. And Miss Lumine, can _you_ even use it?"
Lumine put her hands on her hips.
"Nope."
Yuji twitched. "If you can't use it, why are you bringing it up, Big Sis!?"
"I can't use it — but I _do_ understand the principle behind it."
"But didn't Nanami just say the conditions were extremely strict?"
"He said they were _extremely strict_, not _impossible_."
"So… are you gonna learn it or not?"
"Learn! Of course I'll learn it!"
"Alright then, here's how it goes: First, do this, then that, and finally that — and boom, you've got it."
Yuji was completely dumbfounded.
"…I should've known better than to expect _anything_ from Big Sis's teaching. I was being way too naive."
He'd already been fooled once — and yet he still made the same mistake again!
Nanami's eyelid twitched. _So this is how she teaches?_ No wonder Gojo insisted on bringing him along.
