Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: The Masked Man

"What happened?"

At this point, none of the students realized the seriousness of the situation, but Roy had already sensed that something was wrong.

"Everyone, gather over here!"

Apart from Jennifer and Niddy, no one paid Roy any attention.

Seriously, if you try to tell Americans about discipline, they'll definitely call you crazy. After all, this is the land of the "free."

Immediately afterward, everyone felt the light in the wax museum suddenly dim.

"Ah—"

Carly's scream startled everyone again.

"Carly, what are you yelling about!"

Peggy was right next to Carly and almost jumped out of her skin from the scream.

Carly answered Peggy in a trembling voice.

"Just now, this wax figure seemed to move!"

A wax figure moved?

How could that be possible!

No one believed Carly, but when they looked at the wax figure she was pointing at and saw that it was indeed twitching slightly, they started to panic.

"How can this be happening?"

In an instant, Roy collected a large amount of fear.

Roy was also a bit strange. Could it be that the person inside the wax figure wasn't completely dead yet?

But soon, all the wax figures in the entire wax museum began to twitch, and it was clear that things weren't that simple.

This time, the students didn't want "freedom" anymore and all gravitated towards Roy, the person with the highest combat power in the room.

After all, liberty is precious, and love is even more so, but for the sake of life, both can be discarded.

This was reality, not a philosopher's dream.

Before long, these twitching wax figures left their original positions and walked towards Roy and the others.

This scene definitely wasn't in the original movie. Roy realized that the plot had taken a turn.

But this wasn't the first time something like this had happened. For example, the story of *Halloween* had been grafted onto Jennifer. Who knew what *House of Wax* had been mixed with?

Facing the wax figures slowly approaching him, Roy directly pulled out his Smith & Wesson M625 revolver and opened fire.

The wax figures moved very slowly, no different from shooting at fixed targets. Roy fired six shots in a row without missing a single one, all hitting their mark.

Wade looked at Roy in shock.

"Roy, you're carrying a gun!"

"Is there a problem? Doesn't it come in handy now?"

No problem at all. The gun in Roy's hand did put the other students slightly at ease.

But Roy wasn't so optimistic. The shot wax figures were still staggering towards them, except for one that had been shot in the head and had fallen to the ground.

Is the head the weak point?

What is this, like zombies?

Roy quickly reloaded his bullets and continued shooting to clear the wax figures, while the other students ran to the door and started banging on it.

Theoretically, a door made of wax should be easy to break through, but even after several boys had been hitting it for a while, the door didn't budge.

"Could there be an iron door under this layer of wax?"

Niddy thought of a possibility. Wade immediately took out his keys and started scraping at the door, indeed discovering that there was something special underneath the wax.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!"

Wade cursed loudly. This kind of thick iron door was impossible for the students to break open, even if they broke their arms trying.

Jennifer came up with an idea.

"We can go through the windows!"

This reminded the other students. They rushed to the nearest windows, only to see steel plates rising up to cover them, clearly not wanting them to get out.

"Damn it! Someone must be watching us!"

A thought flashed through Roy's mind. It would be very disadvantageous if someone constantly knew their whereabouts.

"You guys find the cameras, and I'll shoot them out."

"Roy, there's one here!"

Carly quickly made a discovery. Roy turned his gun and accurately shot the camera.

"There's one here too!"

Roy continued shooting the cameras.

With the students' guidance, the cameras were shot one by one, and then the wax figures started spinning around in place.

It seemed that after losing their vision, the wax figures also lost control.

This was good news. Roy immediately moved closer to the other students.

"Roy, the doors and windows are all blocked by steel plates. What should we do?"

Niddy looked at Roy anxiously.

"Let's go check the second floor!"

Roy led the students towards the second floor.

There were some wax figures wandering around on the stairs. Roy used his revolver to give them a cranial opening.

There were also some wax figures on the second floor, but since they had lost control, they weren't much of a threat. As long as they were careful, there shouldn't be any major problems.

Unfortunately, the doors and windows on the second floor were also blocked by steel plates. Roy's plan had failed.

"Look, isn't that an elevator?"

There was actually an elevator door on the second floor, and it was currently showing that it was in operation.

Roy knew the owner of the wax museum had come out.

A tall man wearing a greasy wax mask walked out of the elevator. With this guy's appearance, the wax figures seemed to have found their backbone and attacked Roy and the others again.

"That guy must be the one controlling the wax figures!"

Without needing Niddy to remind him, Roy had already raised his gun and aimed at the masked man, pulling the trigger.

Bang!

The masked man's head was blown apart on the spot, but the wax figures didn't lose control and continued to walk towards Roy and the others.

Roy fired five shots in a row, taking down several of the approaching wax figures, but more wax figures had already surrounded them, and he didn't have time to reload.

"Jennifer, reload for me!"

Roy threw the revolver and bullets to Jennifer, while he engaged in close combat with the approaching wax figures.

The physical defense of the wax figures was actually quite ordinary. Roy could use his own physical abilities to beat the wax figures to pieces, but this wasn't very efficient, far less so than using a gun.

Roy felt that he needed to prepare a few more guns in his inventory to deal with this kind of unexpected situation.

"Roy, be careful!"

Niddy shouted a warning. Roy suddenly felt a chill from the side and quickly ducked to avoid an attack.

It turned out that the masked man's head had somehow grown back, and he was now wielding two daggers with special patterns, trying to ambush Roy.

An ambush, huh?

Roy easily swept the masked man off his feet with a leg sweep. This guy's physical abilities were average, not comparable to the two killers he had faced before, Michael Myers and Leatherface.

Reaching out, Roy directly twisted off the masked man's head. Only then did he realize that this guy was entirely made of wax, with no flesh and blood beneath the wax layer.

No wonder his head could regenerate after being shot, and it was even regenerating right in front of Roy.

"Ah! Roy, help!"

Several wax figures broke through Roy's defenses and started attacking the students behind him.

Several boys bravely tried to protect the girls, probably seeing that Roy could fight the wax figures with his bare hands. But they didn't know that not everyone had the same physical abilities.

The situation was critical. Roy grabbed the masked man and threw him over the railing, then rushed into the group of students.

Like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, the situation immediately stabilized. Roy took the revolver from Jennifer.

"Grab weapons! You can't fight them empty-handed!"
