~Micheal's POV
I wasted no time. As soon as Dr. Reynolds suggested an EEG, I rushed out of the room, calling for the neurology team. My heart pounded in my chest. I'd been waiting for this, any sign, no matter how small, that Mia was still in there, still fighting. And now, finally, there was hope.
Within minutes, a team of nurses and a neurologist arrived with the EEG machine. I re-entered Mia's room just as they began setting up, attaching electrodes to her scalp with careful precision. I stayed by her bedside, watching every move.
"Her hand twitched, her toes curled slightly, those are promising signs," I told Dr. Larkin, the neurologist overseeing the test.
He nodded, adjusting the last electrode. "We'll see what her brain waves tell us."
The machine hummed to life, and the screen lit up with a series of fluctuating lines, mapping Mia's brain activity in real-time. I held my breath, watching as Dr. Larkin studied the readings, his eyes narrowing in concentration.
