"You bastard!" Alvian launched himself forward, his body clearly bulky, one hand limp, but with the other he threw a punch. Just as he was about to deal damage, he saw Cruxius lightly take a step back.
It was confusing—until Alvian suddenly felt the whole world swing.
Everything turned red, as if his eyes were covered by damp darkness.
Thud
His head collided directly with the surface of the lift. The force of a grip was felt on the other side of his face.
The lift—someone had pressed him against the wall with enough strength to shatter his skull.
"Kurgh—" With a final cry, Alvian slowly slid to the floor of the elevator and died.
"You killed him?" Cruxius raised an eyebrow as he looked towards Ytrisia, whose eyes trembled and whose hand shook visibly; she had just killed a mortal.
She slowly turned toward him, unable to believe what had happened, acting on reflex to protect him.
