As was to be expected, Peter had almost no food in the apartment when Ariel surprised him with a visit. A quick trip to the grocery store had rectified that.
Ariel was now busy in the kitchen making sure that at least for the next week or two, her brother would not starve to death in her absence. She had a large pot of rice on the stove as well as a sizable beef stew going. She was also chopping some cabbage to make him a simple salad. Once she was done with that, she would begin on pickling some beetroots in order, to give him more variety when it came to the vegetables that he would be adding to the simple meal that she'd made him. Normally, Ariel would have already been yelling at Peter, unbothered by the fact that he was not in the room with her.
'Peter, this is the last time I am doing this for you. You have got to start eating better. Take care of yourself. You look like a gentle breeze could knock you over,'
