Something was definitely up with Tristan. For the past week he had not been behaving like himself. It was like he had taken all of the tiny soft moments that Ariel had gotten used to basking in every once in a while and he had amplified them.
Ariel had no idea what had happened, but one day Tristan had just come home from work and she could feel the shift in him. That very first day she had asked why he looked so happy and he had just shrugged.
"Oh, nothing much. I just had a visit from someone unexpected and it cheered me up," He had not shared who the visitor was and Ariel had decided to let it go, not thinking that Tristan's good mood would last. But surprisingly, it had. When she had realized that the two of them had gotten used to being around one another, no longer so jumpy and on edge whenever they were within each other's vicinity.
