"Um, what's this rare blood?" Tanjiro pressed Mina's brother.
Mina's brother shook his head. "I don't know. The demons said I had rare blood."
Suddenly, a crow appeared, shouting, "Rare blood is blood from people with rare blood types!"
The crow's shout startled the siblings. Tanjiro was surprised the crow had found them.
"What effect does rare blood have on {demons}?" Tanjiro asked the crow.
"Rare blood quickly increases a {demon}'s strength. The purer the rare blood, the more nutritious it is. Eating someone with rare blood is like eating fifty, even a hundred, ordinary people."
"Rare blood is a {demon}'s feast, their favorite!"
Tanjiro understood. No wonder the two {demons} fought. One person provided the nutrition of fifty or a hundred—enough to drive any {demon} mad.
He wondered if Nezuko could resist drooling at the sight of Mina's brother.
After the crow finished, Tanjiro smelled a demon approaching, and faint footsteps were heard outside.
"Rare blood! Rare blood! If I eat that rare-blooded brat, I'll return to the Twelve Kizuki and regain the master's favor!"
The {drum demon}, approaching the room, muttered.
It suddenly rotated its eyes 180 degrees, revealing its pupils, which had been hidden.
The pupils had the words "Lower Six" and a cross-shaped scar.
"I'm leaving! That guy's coming!" Tanjiro told the siblings.
The siblings looked terrified.
Tanjiro reassured them. "It's okay! Stay calm! I'll defeat him!"
"As soon as I leave, immediately use the drum to move to another place, like before. I'll come back after I defeat the {demon}. Just hold on!"
Tanjiro gave them instructions.
The siblings nodded.
Tanjiro patted their heads and rushed out. Mina's brother struck the drum, and they were transported to another room.
Tanjiro and the demon were in another, more open room.
As Tanjiro regained his footing, Lower Rank Six, the {drum demon}, struck its drum.
The room flipped 180 degrees. The {drum demon}, unaffected, hung upside down like a bat.
Tanjiro, due to gravity, was on the ceiling.
The {drum demon} struck another drum. Three sharp air blades flew past Tanjiro's head.
