Chapter 66 - White Lines, Death God Domain

Thinking of this, Yu Tianming couldn't help but sigh at Tang San's luck.

Tang San had many ways to stabilize his mind, among which the most fundamental were the Mysterious Heaven Skill and the Wisdom Skull Bone, along with the versatile Blue Silver Domain to isolate the effects of the Hell Road.

Thankfully, his own luck wasn't bad either.

Although he didn't have flashy methods like the Mysterious Heaven Skill, the Wisdom Skull Bone, or the Blue Silver Domain…

Ghidorah's unique nervous system gave him far greater mental resistance than ordinary people.

Even when immersed in the killing intent of the Hell Arena, he could stay calm and not lose control.

Facing Tang Chen's killing aura, evil aura, and the mental assault of the Hell Road, he could still maintain a certain level of combat capability.

As thoughts raced through his mind, his electromagnetic sense had already detected the magma spreading toward the narrow path ahead.

If things went as he predicted—rising temperatures and the increase of the surrounding blood pool level—then the exit must be close.

Fifteen minutes later, Yu Tianming, whose mind was constantly being bombarded by frenzied killing intent, finally saw the exit.

At this moment, he was drenched in sweat—not from the heat, but from the stimulation of the killing aura.

No matter how firm his willpower was, after all the accumulated negative effects, his mental strength was nearing its limit.

And just then, he saw the exit.

The exit of Slaughter City stood out vividly.

Not far ahead, a white glow had formed into an elliptical light screen—that was the end of his journey.

Although the exit was visible, there was no path forward.

About a thousand meters away, a sea of blood-red liquid stretched out. The blood had pooled into a small lake, completely blocking the path. Bubbles gurgled in the thick blood. That thousand-meter gap felt like an insurmountable chasm.

There were no more creature attacks, but the powerful evil aura in this area and the massive bloody gulf ahead had become an almost impassable barrier.

The flowing magma wasn't enough to stop him—the real threat was the overwhelming evil aura ahead.

Yu Tianming slowly closed his eyes and took a deep breath, doing his best to calm himself.

Then he fully activated his spiritual power, attempting to control the killing aura radiating from his body and form a barrier to block the evil aura. At the same time, it helped clear his mind a little.

In the world of Douluo, there were two gods of dark desires: the Asura God, who governed slaughter, and the Rakshasa God, who governed evil thoughts.

Slaughter City was the remnant left behind when they transcended this world. The Asura God controlled the purest killing energy, while the Rakshasa God held dominion over ultimate evil.

When the Rakshasa God transcended, she altered the original nature of Slaughter City. What was once a realm of slaughter turned into a den of corruption and evil. During this process, even the divine consciousness of the Asura God was tainted, leading to Tang Chen's downfall.

The blood-red sea before him was the most intensely evil part of Slaughter City. Only by fully releasing his killing aura could he slightly resist the erosion of the evil power.

With a clear head again, Yu Tianming flew up to the black cavern ceiling about two hundred meters from the blood pool.

A thousand meters—if he flew, it would only take an instant.

With just a few breaths, he arrived before the white light screen.

Yu Tianming suddenly realized that the killing aura surrounding his body seemed to be guided by some mysterious force, drawing him toward the light screen.

He turned for one final glance at the Hell Road behind him.

Without further hesitation, Yu Tianming shot into the white light screen with a whoosh.

The moment he entered, he felt as though his body had stepped into another world.

Everything around him turned into a snowy white void. His martial soul was instantly suppressed and forcefully detached by a strange pressure, rendering him completely powerless.

In this blindingly white world, he couldn't use any strength. The only sensation he had was cold.

It felt like countless winds and snowflakes were gathering toward him, and at the same time, icy cold was pouring out from within him.

In this void, Yu Tianming could only silently endure the pain.

The cold shouldn't have existed, but it did—though it wasn't from temperature, but from killing aura. The purest killing intent invaded his body rapidly, causing him to tremble uncontrollably.

As the cold slowly froze his heart, his awareness also began to fade.

And at that moment, Yu Tianming finally experienced the legend of Slaughter City firsthand.

Yes, this was a domain—a domain formed from killing intent. Inside it, he was like a rootless leaf in the wind, forced to passively endure the infusion of killing aura.

He didn't know how much time passed, but when he finally woke up from the pain, it felt like he had just had a long dream.

Now, he was standing in a dense forest. Around him were tall, lush trees.

He tore off the rags on his body and used clean water from his storage ring to wash himself thoroughly.

Only then did Yu Tianming feel truly alive again.

During the two years in Slaughter City, all his time was spent in the waiting room and the arena. If he wasn't fighting, he was preparing for battle. All he ever saw was darkness and blood-red light.

He lived on dry rations and plain water. To clean himself, he had to use fire to burn away the grime on his body.

Now that he had returned to this vast, colorful world, he couldn't help but feel a surreal sense of disconnection.

After a brief daze, Yu Tianming put on a spare robe from his storage ring.

Activating his martial soul, he soared into the sky and looked out toward a distant town.

Suddenly, Yu Tianming sensed that something had changed in his body.

He pulled his clothes aside and looked at the center of his chest. After invoking his martial soul, a white marking had appeared there.

Those markings resembled the blood patterns on the floor of the Hell Arena when the Hell Road was activated—only much smaller, and white in color.

When Yu Tianming tried to sense the white markings, a surge of radiant white light quietly spread out. It emanated from within him, but quickly faded into transparency.

At that moment, Yu Tianming's perception of the world changed.

Even the Blue Silver Grass by the roadside trembled under the invisible aura.

'The Death God Domain… this is the Death God Domain, isn't it?'

Yu Tianming knew he should be happy—but having just left a place like Slaughter City, he couldn't bring himself to feel joy.
