Chaos erupted throughout the village. Mukuro stroked his chin, watching the unfolding scene with great interest. He muttered to himself, "It seems my presence has caused Mei Terumi's rebellion to happen several years earlier. Hmm, my reputation points are rising quickly—almost five million now. But I'm still far from the hundred million needed for the ultimate lottery draw."
Coral Staff: Four Consecutive Strikes!
The massive iron staff in Yagura's hands swung rapidly, delivering a series of strikes toward Mei Terumi. Although it appeared to be only four staff shadows, Mei felt as though all her escape routes had been completely sealed off.
Water Style: Water Formation Pillar!
A torrent of water erupted from Mei Terumi's mouth, blocking three of Yagura's staff strikes. However, the final strike landed squarely on Mei, sending her flying high into the air.
Bang! The airborne Mei Terumi suddenly burst into a plume of smoke!
"Vapor Style: Skilled Mist Technique!"
Mei Terumi's voice rang out from behind Yagura, her tone sharp and commanding. At the last moment, she had used a shadow clone to evade Yagura'sCoral Staff: Four Consecutive Strikes, taking the opportunity to unleash her Skilled Mist Technique.
"She's improved quite a bit," Mukuro remarked, raising an eyebrow as he observed the boiling mist emanating from Mei Terumi's mouth. Compared to two years ago, her Skilled Mist Technique now covered a much larger area, and the mist itself was denser and more potent.
As the scalding mist closed in from all directions, Yagura's eyes flickered with irritation. A brief flash of the Mangekyō Sharingan appeared in his pupils, and a deep crimson chakra began to seep from his body.
"I sensed it! Mei, Yagura is indeed being controlled. Just now, I detected a sinister chakra deep within his mind," Ao's voice called out from the sidelines.
Hearing this confirmation, Mei Terumi's expression grew even graver. There was no relief, only a deepening sense of dread. To silently and completely control a Kage-level powerhouse like Yagura—what kind of terrifying power could achieve such a feat?
But there was no time for Mei Terumi to dwell on this revelation.

The torrent of water continued to expand, flooding the entire Hidden Mist Village. For someone like Yagura, the Jinchūriki of the Three-Tails Isobu, this watery environment allowed him to unleash his full power—tripled, even.

Yagura entered a partial Tailed Beast transformation, his demeanor growing even more feral. His arms morphed into the massive forepaws of the Three-Tails, which he slammed down heavily toward Mei Terumi. The Coral Palm technique caused coral to sprout from any surface it struck, rendering it an incredibly dangerous attack.
Beneath the vast waters, the Three-Tails' domain, Mei Terumi found herself increasingly at a disadvantage. Despite being a Kage-level ninja, she struggled against the seemingly limitless chakra of a Tailed Beast.
Dodging another of Yagura'sCoral Palm strikes, Mei Terumi landed unsteadily, panting heavily. She cast an annoyed glance at Mukuro, who stood on the sidelines with no intention of helping. "Mukuro Mitarashi, aren't you going to help me already?" she snapped.
Mukuro smiled casually and replied, "Oh, so you're finally admitting you can't handle it? You should've said so earlier."
Water Style: Isobu Water Cannonball!
A massive sphere of water shot toward Mukuro, tearing through the air with incredible force. The sheer impact of the attack caused the air itself to ripple. In this watery battlefield, the power of Water Release techniques was significantly amplified.
"It seems the lesson I taught you two years ago wasn't harsh enough. Or perhaps you think you can defeat me in this environment, Isobu?" Mukuro said calmly, addressing the fully Tailed Beast-transformed Yagura.
Roar!
The transformed Yagura let out a thunderous roar, a mix of fear and provocation. This time, Mukuro hadn't activated his Tenseigan Chakra Mode, so Isobu didn't sense the overwhelming aura of death it had felt two years prior. Instead, a voice in its mind urged it to tear apart the boy standing before it.
"Looks like it's time to teach you another lesson. Since we're in this environment, I'll use Water Release to handle you," Mukuro said. He extended his right hand, and a massive surge of water gathered around it.
The water compressed, rotated, and compressed further... until it formed a razor-sharp spear.
Water Style: Hard Whirlpool Water Blade!
This was a Water Release technique developed by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, a Kage-level master of Water Release who could wield its power even in a barren desert. A technique crafted by such a formidable ninja was nothing short of extraordinary.
The Hard Whirlpool Water Blade was at least an S-rank jutsu, the pinnacle of Water Release techniques.
Mukuro had once accessed Konoha's Scroll of Seals and, though his primary focus had been on techniques like the Darkness Technique and Edo Tensei, he had also dabbled in other jutsu.
Aiming at the Three-Tails, Mukuro hurled the Hard Whirlpool Water Blade. The water spear, like a roaring dragon, surged forward, creating massive waves as it hurtled toward Yagura.
The spear struck true, hitting the Tailed Beast-transformed Yagura with devastating force.

Isobu let out an earth-shaking roar as it shifted into its fully Tailed Beast form. Its eyes grew even more feral, and a massive black energy sphere began to form in the air above it, growing larger and larger as chakra condensed.
Tailed Beast Bomb!
"Oh no! It's a Tailed Beast Bomb! If it detonates here, the entire village will be destroyed," Mei Terumi exclaimed, her expression filled with urgency. She turned to Mukuro, her eyes pleading. She knew that the only person capable of stopping this catastrophe was the boy standing before her—someone younger than herself but far more powerful.
