Hearing what the Sovereign just said, Leo's eyes changed. It wasn't surprise—he had expected something like this.
He already knew Earth couldn't be the only place where life existed.
The system, the monsters, none of it made sense if everything had only come from Earth. There had to be more—worlds beyond his understanding.
"So," Leo asked, "there are other planets out there in this universe, right? And… where did you come from? Where did the system come from? Where did all of this begin?"
The Sovereign looked at him for a moment before answering.
"Leo," he said, "if I tell you more right now, it will only speed up your path to discovery. And while that won't exactly hurt you, I'd prefer you become stronger before you hear certain truths."
