"Hahaha!" came the unmistakable sound of laughter again as Aine tried to refocus on the note she was reading and the food before her. Every few seconds, a burst of laughter would erupt from the girl sitting a good distance away from her. Despite the considerable distance separating them, each burst of the girl's high-pitched laughter seemed to find its way directly to Aine's ears. Each time, her spoon would hover over her food as she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, exhaled, opened her eyes, and resumed eating while glancing at the words on the note she held in her left hand.
A light breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby average-sized trees, providing shade for the students lounging around the wooden benches and tables scattered across the vast field.
"Honestly, I don't fucking know how you're able to eat and read at the same time under these circumstances," Ina, who was half-lying horizontally on the table, said to Aine, her voice tinged with disbelief.
