Chapter 86 – Elder Bing, Are You a Sore Loser?
Everyone present instinctively turned toward the source of the voice, only to see Chu Feng standing with a half-smile as he looked at Elder Bing and her group.
Many disciples were bewildered.
The entire Miscellaneous Dao Institute had already won their duels—so why was their head, Chu Feng, still mocking the losing side?
Wasn't he afraid of enraging Elder Bing?
After all, Elder Bing was recognized as one of the top powerhouses among all the elders of Wendao Academy.
Elder Bing's icy gaze locked onto Chu Feng. A fire had already been smoldering in her chest, and now this man dared to provoke her right in the open.
She was already entertaining the thought of putting him in his place.
"And what, pray tell, have I forgotten?" she asked coldly.
Chu Feng chuckled. "Elder Bing, it seems you're far too esteemed to be burdened with memory. But surely you haven't forgotten the wager we made at the registration office three years ago?"
He continued, "If Xiao Chen had lost, our Miscellaneous Dao Institute would've been disbanded. Surely you haven't forgotten the terms you proposed?"
As his words fell, curiosity bloomed across the faces of the surrounding spectators.
Everyone was eager to know exactly what kind of bet had been made with this imposing elder.
Some even looked gleeful—many had been in Wendao Academy for years, yet none had ever seen a Tianling Institute elder make a fool of themselves.
Elder Bing's expression turned thoughtful, then instantly darkened.
She had indeed not taken her previous wager with Chu Feng seriously.
After all, not just her—any elder at Wendao Academy would've dismissed the idea that Xiao Chen, once branded a cripple, could grow to such a level.
"Hmph!"
She snorted coldly. "This elder has always stood by her word. Rou'er will come with me to the Miscellaneous Dao Institute. I'd like to see what exactly you, Head Chu, can do to us."
"As expected of Elder Bing. Please, after you," Chu Feng replied with a beaming smile, gesturing politely.
With a cold face, Elder Bing turned and began walking toward Chu Feng's group.
Seeing this, the disciples behind her were stunned in place. They had no idea what to do—should they head back, or follow their master?
After a moment of hesitation, they chose to trail behind her.
The other disciples from Tianling Institute exchanged confused glances.
"Senior Brother Ye, should we report this to the head of the institute?" one of them asked instinctively.
"No need."
Senior Brother Ye stared at Chu Feng's retreating figure and said flatly, "What can a bunch of strays from Miscellaneous Dao Institute possibly do to Elder Bing?"
The others suddenly understood.
That's right—even though Qin Rou had lost to Xiao Chen, that didn't mean Chu Feng had the power to suppress Elder Bing and her disciple.
At the end of the day, Chu Feng was still just a mortal.
Although the rest of the academy's disciples were curious about what Chu Feng would do, they suppressed that curiosity and didn't follow.
Moments later.
Chu Feng and his group brought Elder Bing and her disciple into the territory of the Miscellaneous Dao Institute.
Elder Bing's voice was as cold as frost. "Well? How do you intend to deal with me?"
Chu Feng turned to Xiao Chen. "Disciple, I'll let you go first."
Xiao Chen gave a slight nod, then turned his gaze to Qin Rou.
His eyes were devoid of emotion.
Qin Rou felt deeply uncomfortable under his stare and instinctively clenched her fists.
"Leave," Xiao Chen said calmly. "And don't ever appear before me again."
His words, so indifferent and final, struck a dull ache in her heart.
But she knew very well—there was no longer any possibility between them.
"Hmph."
Elder Bing gave a dismissive snort, her haughty expression clearly saying: I gave you a chance, and you didn't take it.
"Fine. From this day forward, we'll never see each other again. If we do—it'll be as enemies."
With that, Qin Rou turned and left.
"Wait."
Chu Feng's voice suddenly rang out, stopping Qin Rou in her tracks.
Elder Bing's voice turned cold. "Head Chu, are you trying to forcefully keep my disciple here?"
"Don't misunderstand," Chu Feng said with a warm smile, shifting his gaze toward Elder Bing. "I just want her to stay and deliver a message for you."
He kept smiling as he stared directly at her. "I'm a man who always repays what's owed. Elder Bing, starting today, you'll stay here and serve as my foot-washing maid for one year."
"You…!"
Elder Bing roared in fury. Her aura exploded like a raging storm, surging over Chu Feng with crushing pressure—like a mother tigress whose cub had been stepped on.
But Chu Feng only shrugged, completely unfazed. "No way… don't tell me you're actually a sore loser, Elder Bing?"
"I…"
Elder Bing gritted her teeth, her frost-covered face flushing red with humiliation.
If looks could kill, Chu Feng would have been shredded a thousand times over by now.
Even Xiao Chen and the others behind Chu Feng felt the sheer killing intent radiating from Elder Bing.
Yet none of them were the least bit worried.
They believed—if this elder truly dared to strike—then they'd finally get to witness their master go all out.
Just how powerful was Chu Feng, really?
Maybe it was time for Elder Bing to find out.
Had Chu Feng heard their thoughts, he would've undoubtedly made them experience what it meant to feel the wrath of the "Seven Wolves."
Not far off, Qin Rou stood frozen, stunned by the scene before her.
She couldn't understand it.
How could this Head Chu—despised by most of Wendao Academy—have the courage to speak to her master like that?
Wasn't he afraid of being crushed by Elder Bing on the spot?
Yet Chu Feng paid no attention to the murderous pressure around him. He spoke lightly, "You have one incense stick's time to decide. If you agree, come find me. If not—well, feel free to be shameless and break your own word."
With that, he turned and left without looking back.
Xiao Chen and the rest followed him into the courtyard.
"I'm sorry, Master… It's all because I was too weak."
Qin Rou's voice trembled with guilt as she looked at her trembling master under the blazing sun.
"Hmph."
Elder Bing let out a heavy snort. "You know you're useless, yet you're still here? Get back to your cultivation."
"Master, you…"
Qin Rou didn't move, her eyes full of concern and unwillingness.
"Do you take your master for someone who breaks their word?"
Elder Bing's tone was firm and slow. Though her heart was filled with unwillingness, her pride in keeping promises was stronger.
As a righteous cultivator, she had always honored her word—even if she knew Chu Feng was clearly trying to humiliate her.
"Let me take the punishment on your behalf," Qin Rou said, her voice unwavering. "This all started because of me."
"No need."
Elder Bing waved it off coldly. "Go back and tell your senior sisters that I'll return once a month to guide your cultivation. And today's incident—don't breathe a word of it to anyone!"
Finishing her command, she turned and walked toward Chu Feng's residence.
With each step she took, the humiliation in her heart deepened.
'Damn you, Chu Feng. One day—I'll return every bit of this humiliation.'
Watching her master's back disappear into the distance, Qin Rou clenched her fists tightly.
'I swear I'll train harder than ever… and one day, I'll restore her honor.'
