Raphael had suggested that he bewitch Sabrina by buying necklaces and other valueables that women loved, and so on.
Lexis reached out to take his phone as it vibrated on the bar table.
It was a message—sent by a strange number.
He pondered for sometime before he clicked on it.
It was a picture of Sabrina, being held by Jason.
And what vexed him was the fact that she seemed to have no problem with it.
She didn't seem to care.
He got up from the chair angrily, which startled Zayn and Raphael, who was talking nonstop,
"I'm leaving now, I have urgent matters to settle."
"Where are you going to?." Zayn questioned.
He halted at the door. Where was he going to exactly? Was he going to head to the cafe Sabrina was in with her useless ex? Or to the company to overwork himself so he could remove the image of Sabrina being held comfortably by another man? Or go home and wait for her and question her and let her explain her reason for her peculiar, unbearable character for the past days?
He withdrew his hand from the door knob and walked back to his seat, giving blind eyes to the confused expressions of his friends.
He was acting too stupid—too stupid for a woman who didn't even care about him.

Sabrina was window-shopping when she bumped into the last person she wished to see—Gina Wonders.
She had an equally shocked expression as her.
"What are you doing here?." She asked Sabrina, who just gave her a look that made her feel stupid.
"What does it look like I'm doing here? And how does that affect you?." Sabrina calmly questioned her as she glanced at the beverages she was holding, and the thought about if she was still with Jason crossed her mind.
Gina recalled how Lexis had treated her when she went to his company the other day, and her jealousy and anger intensified.
"Are you talking to me with this tone because you feel you're married to the richest man in town now?."
Sabrina grinned—A small, triumphant smile, "What else? Atleast I'm not like you that after middle-class men who are people's fiancés."
Gina clenched her hands, "Sabrina, mind yourself."
"No, you mind yourself, small sis," she said with twinkles in her emerald eyes, then, as though realisation struck her, she expressed dramatically, "Or should I say, Gina Wonders? You have always wanted me out of that title—Wonders. So now, you have it all to yourself. Tell me about it, how does it feel to be the young miss of a middle-class family whose reputation was nearly tarnished by a sextaoe of her and her soon-to-be brother-in-law?."
"You!." Gina's face had reddened due to anger, and Sabrina wasn't afraid; instead, she was amused.
"You!," she mimicked, her action so dramatic, "What?do you want to beat me?."
"I want to do worst."
Sabrina smiled at her words, "Very well. I'm waiting for the 'worst' you'll do to me."
Having said that, she scoffed loudly and strolled away, leaving Gina fuming in anger.
"It seems I'm not the only one that hates her guts."
A brown haired woman appeared beside her out of the blue, checking her manicured nails.
Gina scrutinised her, "Who are you?."
Emily diverted her attention to her, "Emily. Emily Solomon. Lexis' Woodsman's fiancée."
The words 'Lexis Woosman's fiancée vexed her,
"Lexis Woodsman has fiancée." Not after the disappearance of his mysterious girlfriend, Claire, Gina thought.
She once heard from her Dad that Lexis was picky about women, and the only woman he had gotten into a relationship with was Claire, his first girlfriend who had disappeared without a trace.
"He does. Unfortunately, she's not publicly recognised and that she is me." Emily pulled out a picture from her pocket.
A picture is more powerful than a thousand words.
It was a picture of her hugging Lexis two years ago during Christmas celebration.
"I was in Canada when I got the news that he married a woman here in Spain. Came back some days ago to see what was really going on."
Gina eyed her, "You're his fiancée?."
"Yeah."
"How can u prove it?."
"I just showed you a picture."
Gina folded her arms, "That could have been forged."
Emily placed the picture back into her pocket, "You can take it to any cyber-cafe to see if it's fake or not."
"That won't work."
Emily hated Gina already. She was nosy.
"What will make you believe me then?"
Gina pondered for a while, "You're telling me you're Lexis' fiancée, what do you want me to do?."
"It's simple," Emily smiled, "I want Sabrina out of his life."
"So you'll be in his life? Her replacement?."
Gina didn't quite like the pretty brown-haired, blue eyed woman beside her.
There was this craftiness in her--a pride that annoyed and irritated her.
"Of course I'm his fiancée , so I should be in his life."
"What if I say I'm interested in him? Lexis Woodsman?."
Emily's eyes dimmed at her straightforwardness, "No, you're not. You're only interested in his money."
"I'm interested in both."
She glanced at Gina; she wasn't a threat because Lexis hated women with big busts—or women with bigger breasts than ass.
"I'm afraid you will have to pick one. And it better be money. I'm just advising you as my fellow gender. Lexis won't spare a glance at you." Her words were politely rude, and Gina nearly retorted but she held herself back.
"I don't just want money. I want lots of money and a favour in return."
"What favour?."
"To make Sabrina wished she was dead."
"Do you hate your sister that much?." Emily questioned with a shocked expression on her face.
"I hate her more than I hate the devil."
'You don't know you're the devil yourself?.' She thought when she saw the deep look of hatred in Gina's eyes.

Sabrina got home exactly at 8 in the night after sitting in the playground idly, doing nothing but watching as children ran around with their family and friends.
To her shock, she saw Lexis, in the sitting room—watching her silently, his face blank.
