By the time we wrapped up our impromptu boutique raid, Sophia and I had gone through half the racks like we were on a treasure hunt.
We picked out casual outfits, stylish work clothes, shoes that matched every personality disorder I had (or maybe didn't have), and some jewellery that I didn't really need but definitely wanted.
Sophia snagged a few pieces too, mostly boots and a leather jacket she swore made her feel like a no-nonsense business queen.
The living room looked like the aftermath of a fashion hurricane. The staff had already started carting bags and hangers to my room.
Sophia checked her phone and sighed. "Alright, darling. I have a date to prepare for."
Aiden, being the overly gracious billionaire husband he was, gave us space. "I'll be upstairs," he said. "Try not to murder each other with heels."
"Only if she insults my taste one more time," I said, winking at Sophia.
