From high in the sky, Hyuga Gakuya observed the fight below with his Tenseigan. This would be Uchiha Itachi's final battle.
Uchiha Sasuke versus Uchiha Itachi. Gakuya wanted to see how much his enhancements to Sasuke would force Itachi to stop holding back.
...
Crows clustered on the ceiling. Itachi's figure hung upside down above Sasuke, his eyes sharp and emotionless. In a flash, he drew a kunai and dropped like a specter, descending swiftly toward Sasuke.
In that same moment, Itachi appeared behind him—but Sasuke didn't even turn. He drew the Kusanagi Blade from his waist and parried the strike with precise timing.
Spinning around, Sasuke forcefully shoved Itachi back with one hand. He formed a one-handed seal, and lightning surged along his blade. With a flash of movement, he drove the electrified sword into the wall, pinning Itachi there.
"You foolish little brother..." Itachi's voice echoed beside his ear.
The illusion shattered.
Both men opened their eyes again—Itachi still seated in his chair, unmoved, and Sasuke standing in the exact same spot. The clash had only played out within a genjutsu. Even against a fully matured three-tomoe Sharingan, Sasuke hadn't fallen behind.
But the real battle was just beginning.
"Stop wasting time with these useless tricks." Sasuke's voice dripped with impatience. He was eager—desperate—to end this.
Itachi, still leaning calmly against the stone throne, replied,
"You still don't understand... You have the same eyes as I do."
Sasuke scoffed, "Then go ahead. Use your Mangekyō Sharingan and kill me. Or is it that... you already know you can't measure up to me anymore?"
"You're blindly confident," Itachi murmured, stepping down from the platform. "From the moment one awakens the Mangekyō Sharingan, their path is sealed. Darkness. Blindness. It's inevitable."
"So what, you want me to awaken mine just so you can take my eyes and create the so-called Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan?"
Itachi's lips twisted into a manic grin, the power in his eyes sharpening into something nearly demonic.
"So you know about the Eternal Mangekyō. Then you understand—Sasuke, you're my light. And now, you'll become a part of me."
"The Uchiha clan is a cursed bloodline... chasing eternal power even if it means slaughtering kin. Killing those closest to us... and calling that strength."
His voice grew wild and twisted, like a vengeful demon from the depths of hell. The power in his eyes materialized into tendrils of chakra, whipping toward Sasuke like lashes from a whip.
Sasuke stared at him, momentarily stunned. He had never seen Itachi like this. He could hardly believe this was the same gentle older brother from his childhood.
"From the moment you were born, you were bound by this blood-soaked destiny. Come, little brother. I'll kill you—free you from the fate of our clan. Shatter the chains. Escape this burden."
Itachi struck without warning. A torrent of gleaming shuriken and kunai burst from his hands, raining toward Sasuke in a deadly hail.
Sasuke didn't flinch. In a blur of motion, he snatched his own weapons from his pouch and hurled them to intercept Itachi's barrage.
The air rang with a constant clang-clang, metal striking metal midair in a dazzling display of precision. Sparks flew with each clash, a breathtaking spectacle of technique and control.
But when the weapons collided, their energy spent, they clattered heavily to the floor with dull thuds.
The Uchiha's combination of throwing techniques and the Sharingan wasn't just lethal—it was mesmerizing.
Both brothers possessed extraordinary combat instincts, and their mastery of throwing weapons had reached the pinnacle of shinobi skill.
It was said that any Uchiha who awakened the Sharingan became a master of ninja tools. That legacy was now on full display.
Every exchange between them was razor-sharp, filled with danger and unpredictability.
Even while suffering from his hereditary illness and impaired vision, Itachi's experience showed. His attacks grew more frequent, more precise. Sasuke, despite his speed, was beginning to struggle.
The sheer number and speed of the weapons overwhelmed him. One kunai grazed his cheek, leaving a shallow but bloody line.
Sasuke couldn't afford to hold back any longer. He dropped his weapons and swiftly formed hand seals.
"Chidori Current!"
Blue lightning exploded from his body in a blinding arc, smashing into the incoming weapons and deflecting them with sharp metallic crackles.
Sparks lit the air, a storm of electricity clashing with metal in a fiery display.
Through it all, Itachi remained still, calmly observing, watching every movement Sasuke made. He was waiting—for the perfect moment to strike.
Sasuke leapt into the air, dodging another wave of projectiles.
A cloud of smoke erupted from his wrist, and from it dropped a scroll etched with glowing lines, gleaming with a cold, futuristic sheen.
As it struck the ground, two shadow clones materialized in a flicker of chakra, flanking Sasuke on both sides.
Each clone held a Kusanagi Blade, and with perfect synchronization, they lunged at Itachi.
Twin arcs of steel swept toward him in a lethal cross.
Itachi vanished with a leap, barely dodging the assault. But even as he soared upward, kunai shot from his sleeves like venomous fangs, striking both clones and dispersing them in a puff of smoke.
Sasuke seized the brief opening.
Forming rapid hand seals, he called out, "Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Jutsu!"
With a guttural shout, he unleashed a torrent of searing chakra from his mouth, shaping it into a massive fire dragon.
Itachi didn't hesitate. "Water Style: Water Formation Wall!"
He spewed a thick stream of water that rose to form a protective wall, shielding him from the incoming flames.
But Sasuke wasn't done. He inhaled sharply and launched more dragon-shaped fire attacks—each one larger and more violent than the last.
The secret was in his body—his Sage organ had already begun working, providing a constant flow of pure natural chakra that amplified his jutsu far beyond normal limits.
Even Itachi was surprised. The power and chakra volume in Sasuke's fire-style jutsu now surpassed his own.
Despite his shock, Itachi's movements never faltered. He dodged and countered, launching kunai with deadly accuracy as he weaved between attacks.
Meanwhile, the colossal fire dragon tore through the ceiling and surged skyward, leaving behind a trail of scorched stone and debris.
Sasuke had achieved his goal.
The blazing inferno had drastically raised the surrounding temperature—and if things went as he planned, it would soon trigger rain.
He was already preparing for his next move.
