Chapter 89 - Eyes to the Horizon

Location: Eternal Alliance Flagship Dawnfire, Command Briefing Chamber

Date: 22 BBY – One Week After the Siege of Kadavo

The Dawnfire's command room buzzed with low conversation as figures filed in—tired but proud, still wearing the dust and honor of war. The space was large, open, and surrounded by massive transparent durasteel windows that showcased the beauty of open space, the silver-blue glow of Kadavo now calm in the distance.

Anakin Skywalker stepped through the doors, his walk relaxed but purposeful. He'd changed since the Tatooine campaign—more composed, more confident.

Following closely behind him was Sarah, armor off now, wearing a utility officer's uniform tailored with her Spartan insignia, her signature red hair pulled back into a tight bun. She gave a nod to the guards and Paladins stationed around the room.

At the head of the gathering stood Cain, flanked by Seris, Selene, and John.

Cain smiled as Anakin approached, arms crossed casually.

"So, back from your desert crusade already?" he teased.

Anakin rolled his eyes. "You say that like you didn't send me into the middle of a Hutt warzone."

"And you didn't disappoint," Cain replied. "Judging by the transmission, Jango and Satine arrived?"

Anakin nodded and stepped up to the main display table.

"Yeah. The Hutts and their remnants were either scattered or killed by the time we were done. Satine and Padmé arrived two days after to begin diplomatic structure. Jango… showed up with an army of peacekeepers, apparently pre-vetted by Bo-Katan."

Cain raised an eyebrow.

"Let me guess… he's calling himself 'Marshall of Tatooine' now?"

"More like everyone is," Anakin confirmed. "The people voted for it. Apparently, he's staying until a formal government of the locals is chosen. He's making sure all the slave markets are demolished, mines seized by workers, and corrupt crime families are ousted."

Sarah added with a proud grin, "It's working. Slowly. But the planet's changing."

Cain stepped forward, looking between the two of them—something catching his eye.

"Is that what I think it is?" he asked, nodding toward the two small glowing objects in their hands.

Anakin and Sarah exchanged a glance. Then, as if on cue, they each lifted a Krayt Dragon pearl, shimmering in iridescent tones—one darker violet-gold, the other a glowing sky-blue.

Gasps rippled quietly among the room's aides and officers.

Seris blinked. "You two took on a Krayt Dragon?"

> "And won," Sarah said, smirking slightly. "Together."

Cain crossed his arms, smiling wider. "You two seem closer than before."

The glance between Anakin and Sarah was subtle—but meaningful.

"It happens when you fight a monster side by side," Anakin said simply "You and John jealous" Anakin said smirking.

John, arms behind his back in classic military stance, quipped with a small smirk, " Jealous never."

That drew chuckles around the table.

Cain shook his head, playfully exasperated. "Why do I feel like the old man here?"

"You are," Seris replied smoothly.

Cain gave her a dry look.

Then her eyes shifted to John.

"So," she said, voice curious but kind, "Do you… know who I am?"

John stood a bit straighter.

"Yes, Lieutenant," he said respectfully. "You're my second donor and I would be honored if you got to know me ma'am."

For a moment, Seris was quiet—her silver eyes scanning him like she was trying to see the boy behind the perfect posture.

Then she smiled.

"That would be nice."

The moment was interrupted by the familiar voice of Selene Kael, who stepped through the chamber doors with her signature stride and playful tilt of the head, a stack of holopads and a half-grin on her lips.

"Touching reunion," she said with mock drama. "Almost brought a tear to my eye."

She tapped the main projector console, sending a soft hum through the room as the center display activated. A large, elegant schematic began rotating—a ringed station design with multi-tiered docking arms and defensive batteries.

"But before we all start holding hands, I'd like to introduce something critical to the survival of our Alliance."

She brought up the central schematic to full size.

"Ladies and gentlemen—meet the Star Platforms."

The 3D model zoomed out, showing the Star Platforms as large orbital installations equipped with modular defense grids, self-sustaining civilian habitats, communications relays, and rapid-response force deployments.

Selene flicked through several versions—some with larger shipyards, some fitted with agriculture pods, others with stealth sensors and research labs.

"Each one will be stationed over Eternal Alliance planets and protectorates," she explained, "designed to offer military protection, rapid deployment, emergency evacuation, and essential infrastructure. They're also scalable—meaning they can expand with each system's growth."

John leaned in. "Are they all armed?"

"Defensive turrets, tractor beams, automated shield arrays, and long-range turbolasers. Nothing that would rival a battle station… but more than enough to keep most threats at bay."

Padmé, watching via holo-feed from Tatooine, chimed in:

"And will this be funded by the Alliance treasury or system donations?"

Cain answered this time.

"A mix of both. Systems under protection may contribute labor or resources. Alliance Command handles core costs. Star Platforms are peacekeeping outposts—not imperial fortresses."

Selene nodded. "They'll also serve as Jadaii outposts off the planets we will see about on planet temples if planets dont already have them. The outposts will come with meditation halls, libraries, and Paladin facilities. Think of them as our new Jedi Temples—across the stars."

Seris crossed her arms, eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "What's the deployment window?"

Selene winked. "The first one will be completed in four months over Typhon. From there—monthly installments depending on resource availability."

Cain nodded. "Good. Then let's move."

As the briefing ended, Cain looked over the holo-map of the galaxy, now dotted with newly liberated worlds and glowing green systems pledged to the Eternal Alliance.

The future was taking shape.
