Mira's eyes widened when she realized where her fingers were.
She swiftly pulled back her hand and apologized for what she had done.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness. I—I didn't mean to—!"
"Are you sure about that? 'Cause you looked pretty focused just now."
" I-I was only trying to wipe your body."
"With your hands?" he asked with a teasing smile on his lips. "You have a very thorough way of cleaning, my lady."
Mira wanted to protest, but her mind replayed how she had boldly explored Austin's chest, and her cheeks reddened even more than before.
She slightly turned her face to the side in embarrassment and didn't even know what to say anymore.
Of course, Austin had noticed this, and he couldn't help but smile as he rested his arms behind his head.
"I was only teasing you, my lady. Our wedding is only three weeks from now, and if my wife can't wait to have a piece of me right now, who am I to deny her of her yummy husband who is sitting wearily on the ground?"
Mira's jaw dropped at his statement, she couldn't believe her husband would openly tease her like that.
A part of her felt embarrassed by what he'd said, but she was also happy to see that Austin didn't mind flirting with her, since he always did so with Lina.
Now, she was certain that her husband was as interested in her as he was in Lina, and Mira's pointy ears couldn't help but flush and twitch excitedly as a cute smile appeared on her lips.
Of course, Austin had noticed her cute reaction, and his lips widened into a smile at her behaviour.
He was glad to see his wife smiling, even though he'd had to tease her a little just to see it.
But he didn't mind, because in the end, he had achieved his goal.
And regarding what Mira had tried to do before getting distracted by his chest, Austin knew that she had done it with his best interest at heart.
Since he'd been training under the heat for hours, Mira had noticed how sweaty and exhausted he was, and because she didn't want him to get light-headed from overexertion and dehydration, she thought it would be best to bring over a cloth and a bucket of water to cool his body down.
Of course, it had worked… at least for some time, until she got distracted by his body.
But if she ever wanted to touch him again, Austin definitely wouldn't mind.
He shook his head to clear them of such thoughts and decided to just enjoy this peaceful moment with Mira, as the cool breeze gently caressed his body, causing him to feel warm, calm, and relaxed.
The gentle breeze rustled the trees nearby, and for a long moment, neither Austin nor Mira said anything to each other. Austin simply continued to watch the swaying trees while Mira fiddled idly with the cloth still in her lap.
After a while, Austin broke the silence between them.
"You know… I've never actually had the chance to spar with a swordswoman before." Austin revealed as he turned to look at her, and Mira glanced up to listen to what he had to say with a curious look on her face.
"I've heard about how strong you are, but after seeing how serious and focused you were with your training… I guess I became a little curious."
"About what?"
"Actually… I was wondering…" Austin said as he slowly sat upright. "Would you like to spar with me?"
Mira's eyes widened slightly, and she blinked. "You want to spar with me?"
"Why not? You're stronger than I am right now, but I believe that I can learn a lot from you. Besides, I think it'd be nice for us to train together."
Hearing his words, Mira's heart fluttered wildly.
She wanted to jump up immediately and scream Yes! Yes! Yes!
But instead, she composed herself before asking one last time.
"Are you sure about this, Your Highness, because I wouldn't want to accidentally hurt you."
Austin could sense the sincerity and concern in her voice, and he couldn't help but chuckle softly. "Since I'll be marrying a swordswoman, I should be able to take a few bruises. But don't worry, your husband isn't useless, so I'll try my best to keep up."
Mira gave Austin a long look, and her lips eventually twitched into a small smile.
Of course, with what she had noticed so far about Austin, Mira could see that her husband was definitely stronger than the rumors had claimed.
Currently, She could sense that the amount of mana oozing from him was similar to that of a First Order Exorcist, so even if she wanted to spar with him, Mira knew that all she had to do was suppress her strength to be similar to that of a First Order Exorcist, and the two of them could go at it like bunnies.
'Come on, Mira. Stop thinking about naughty things right now.' Mira scolded herself since they were meant to go at it like rivals and not like rabbits.
Pushing those thoughts away, Mira turned to Austin and flashed him a beautiful smile.
"Alright, Your Highness, if you're certain about sparring with me, then I won't mind training with you." She said, getting to her feet and brushing off her skirt with a calm expression on her face, but her cute ears twitched excitedly again, letting Austin know that she couldn't wait to get started.
So he rose to join her before saying. "Lead the way, my lady."
Feeling excited about their upcoming spar, Mira swiftly turned around in an attempt to hide the small smile tugging at her lips.
Right now, her husband needed her to act like his personal trainer, but Mira was too excited to remain calm, and it was taking all her willpower for the beautiful elf not to act childish in front of her husband.
Pushing all unnecessary thoughts aside, Mira swiftly calmed herself with a deep sigh.
"I'll go prepare the weapons." She said as she hastened her steps back to the training room.
Seeing this, Austin couldn't help but shake his head with a smile as he trailed behind her.
