Chapter 4 - Transmigration or Dream?

She moved forward to and came to the main hall.

There, she saw her first uncle Yongli and third uncle Yongyu, the two that were scheming her position.

When she saw them, she decisively avoided them.

They were talking among each other, acting as if she wasn't around, clearly trying to displease her.

She couldn't care about this.

After she left, the two uncles were shocked.

This niece of theirs was usually well-behaved and had good manners, she would pay respect whenever she saw them, no matter how much displeased she was with them.

They wanted to use this chance to talk sense into her and push her to give up her position.

Yu Lingshe on her way to the ancestral hall also chuckled.

The attendants that followed behind her were also shocked, but no one said anything.

The relationship between her and her father wasn't a secret to them, but affairs in the family and outside were different things, so this was a surprise to all of them.

Arriving at the gate of the ancestral hall, she wasn't stopped by the guards and kept walking forward.

This was another benefit of the first lady position, with the idea that they should always be able to seek guidance of their elders and ancestors.

It didn't take long before she arrived in the reception room, where her grandfather was already waiting for them.

The clan leaders of each generation that could keep their position for a certain amount of time would become the ancestors of the family after they give up their clan leader position.

Her fathers ascend to the clan leader position was with the help of this grandfather.

When he saw her, he smiled but also looked worried "Oh my dear Ling'er, you haven't visited me in such a long time, how are you doing!"

Yu Lingshe smiled.

This grandfather of her might be the most scheming person in the whole clan, but he was also the most loving in her family, at least towards her.

He would spoil and pamper her while still teaching her properly.

She bowed and greeted, then came to sit next to him and served him the tea his attendant brought "Of course I'm well. If I could, I would like to visit you every day! With grandfather's care for me, how could I not be well!"

Her grandfather looked at her, not believing at all.

She smiled once again, this was how he would react when she acted cute, but she continued nonetheless "These small things uncle is doing don't matter to me at all, grandpa doesn't need to worry."

Her grandfather should be the first to know of the matters in the clan meeting, her saying this was to reassure him and change the topic to something else.

He nodded "If my little fairy says so, then it is indeed so! I asked you to come here today just to talk about these little things and because I have missed you! Tell me, is there anything you want?"

His question was in a roundabout way trying to make her feel better. At this point, her mother had barely died less than a year, so he was extra attentive, trying to accommodate her as much as possible.

The changes in the clan were fast and he didn't want her to feel bad because of them.

Yu Lingshe smiled and nodded "Grandfather…" she started, her tone slowing down, becoming serious "last night, I had a dream. It's… a vision passed to me by our ancestors!"

When he heard her say this, he also turned serious.

There was indeed such a phenomenon in their world, although the spiritual power is weak, there would always be taoist who could calculate fate and such.

There were even such cases in their family, but well… they turned out to be fake mostly. Since it was his beloved granddaughter who already had the best position in the clan, he tended to believe her vision, so he wanted to listen.

Yu Lingshe also became serious at this moment.

She didn't know whether she transmigrated, reincarnated or whether everything she read was just a deep prophetic dream trying to tell her in a roundabout way about her fate.

Regardless, she put on the title 'visionary dream' on everything and was about to explain

Right at this moment, there was a short sound of thunder above the sky. It was short and very quiet, no one outside reacted, nor did the silent servants seem to hear anything, but she and her grandfather heard it very clear.

She looked in shock upwards, as if piercing the ceiling and directly perceiving the sky.

There was also a tremor in her heart, warning her not to say too many things.

Sighing a bit, she changed what she wanted to say and instead said "Grandfather… I wanted to see the ancestral treasure of our Yu family."

Her grandfather looked at her trying to act as if nothing happened, with his heart in even more shock than her.

He exhaled and inhaled strongly several times before he calmed down.

His old heart shouldn't have been able to experience such a shock… if he was a normal human who hadn't ever practiced martial arts.

At this point he was forced to believe in his granddaughter even if she didn't tell him anything – but, beyond his shock and surprise, there was another emotion – joy!

He was elated.

All these years of heritage seemed to have been worth it!

Only those who have become an ancestor of the clan know the truth of their clan.

The Yu family is one of the few true ancient families in the world, having existed for millions of years!

The oldest records seemed to have disappeared, whether through natural or man-made disasters, but the heritage they knew of was still shocking!

Yu Lingshe walked towards the clan treasury with the Yu ancestor.

They were both somewhat quiet in their endeavour, but their eyes spoke volumes, both looking forward to an immeasurable future.

It didn't take long for them to arrive there. After all, it was right next to the ancestral hall.

The servants on the way saw the seriousness with which they moved, so no one spoke.

Even their attendants distanced themselves a few more steps.
