In front of me, I felt it.
Not something I saw at first. Just a pressure in the air. Familiar, but distant. Like it had always been there, waiting.
And then it formed.
Squares stacked on squares, folding into a slow spiral. No shimmer, no sound. Just clean, angled lines moving inward, steady and deliberate.
Another void-rift.
It reminded me of the last one, how it only manifested after I became aware of it. That time, it was the Crown that helped me notice. This time, it was something else.
The presence inside.
And this time, the look was different. Last time, it had formed a crystal. Now, a spiral of stacked squares, folding inward like a tunnel. Although—no, it wasn't actually spinning. The motion was just an illusion. A trick of shape and depth.
But the presence leaking out?
Too familiar.
I hoped I was wrong. I really, really hoped I was.
"Ra'Jax, back into my soul." My voice came out firmer than expected. He obeyed without protest, vanishing in a flicker.
