The car went through the gate that automatically opens and kept driving towards Adalyn as if the driver intended to hit her but she didn't flinch.
Eventually, the engine stopped and it was just the car and Adalyn in the building.
"So you wanna hit me now?" She said when he opened the car door. "How intriguing," she scoffed.
She knew Logan and how he'd react upon seeing her but there was nothing from his side.
'Wait, that's not Logan,' she realized and turned to the man coming her way. 'If it's not Logan, who is it?!'
Silence reigned as the man approached her, just that his boots were making some sounds.
"I'm sorry to have frightened you, ma'am."
His voice was heard, causing Adalyn to release her breath. She didn't even know that she was holding her breath.
