Crying on an empty stomach really took a toll on me. It was afternoon, and I still hadn't eaten anything, so of course it would take a toll on me.
Noah watched me as I munched on the bread I had bought, refusing to say a word.
He was patient, but I could tell he was beyond curious about the way those eyes of his looked at me.
'I don't know where to start, and that's why I'm staying silent for now.' I thought.
I could never read Noah's thoughts. He kept this still expression on his face that made it impossible to guess what he was thinking.
After I finished the bread, I took the glass of milk from the table and began to drink. That was when Noah decided to start talking.
"After taking out the trash, I went to get some things from the convenience store close by." He said.
He must've figured out that to ask me a question, he'd at least have to answer the one I might have for him.
