The room was thick with heat and the scent of us—sex, sweat, and something primal. Firelight flickered across tangled sheets and Lena's flushed skin, still slick from everything we'd just done. She lay against me, cheek pressed to my chest, her breath coming in soft, uneven drags. My hand moved lazily up and down her spine, savoring the feel of her—warm, real, mine.
But I wasn't done. Not even close.
"You think one time's enough after how long I've been without you?" The words came out as a low growl, more need than language.
She shifted, brushing her lips against my chest. "I thought maybe you'd let me breathe."
I caught her chin, coaxing her face up so I could see her eyes. Firelight danced in them.
"I'll let you breathe, sweetheart," I murmured. "But I'm going to own every breath that leaves your mouth."
Her lips parted, and that expression—half shock, half desire—hit me right in the chest. I let my gaze trail over her face, lingering on her mouth.
