Elliot grabbed his sword and crouched down, agilely waving his sword against Jeff's left hand.
"Several years ago, you were always one of my father's best friends. You could have had a great future ahead of you—lots of money and even the protection of a Saint." He smiled, looking at him before continuing. "But you decided to betray him."
"Not only that. But you participated in killing my mother and sister. You were party to a barbarism with the family of the one who once saved you, considered you family, and gave you a place in the world."
"Do you know what that's called?" he asked.
Jeff looked at him in shock. He couldn't understand how this man knew all that information, which only a select few people were supposed to know.
But Elliot wasn't that he knew. He had simply come to that conclusion after thinking about it for so long.
His father was powerful, but he trusted people very easily. So a betrayal is the only thing that would have made him disappear.
