Claire pov
Since two days after her bosses grand wedding, she has been upset with Lauren Mr chairman's assistant, who's yet to confess his love.
They've actually known themselves for long period now and it's because of her love for him that made her resign from her previous work as a secret mission agent.
"If you don't want to be with me it's best we go out separate ways. Cold blood just like your boss. Why don't you tell me those words am dying to hear Lauren. Ah, you're a coward who can't express his feelings to a lady but I am the real master_ it's so annoying jerk just confess already" she spoke to her reflection on the mirror.
Lauren has been trying to reach out to her but she has refused his calls and didn't respond to his messages. Frustrated he had to go to her apartment after he closed from work. Since his boss Mr chairman isn't around he's meant to stand in but sends the major work to the boss. Right now he's outside Claire's apartment, he knocked several times but she didn't open up, he called her and could hear her cell phone ringing but she didn't pick up.
"Claire I know you are in there please open up" he knocked again but got no response just as he was about to bang on the door again the door opened revealing the angry was of Claire.
"Still mad at me" he asked but no reply
"If you don't speak or let me in I'll carry you out and kiss you in the open" he threatened.
Really is he gonna kiss me, awww I will love to be kissed' she thought but Lauren took her moment of distraction and got inside her apartment.
"You're not allowed in here Lauren" she told him but he raised his eyebrows.
"Now she can talk" he scoffed at her and got inside the kitchen, looking around he found out she hasn't prepared anything.
"What do you like to eat, I'll make something for us" he asked her but she left for the bedroom closing the door.
Lauren shaked his head smiling as he went on to prepare simple dinner for them both.
After wards he set up the table, knocking at her door she didn't respond he tried opening it and found it open.
'Sily girl' he murmured, but went to her took the laptop from her then placed it on the bed, then took off her big glasses. Claire refused to go with him still, " I'll count to three, if you don't come along this will be the last time you see me, and I mean it" he threatened but Claire glared at him.
"This is my house you don't get to decide what I do, you can go eat dinner am not_ gruuur" she was saying but her stomach betrayed her which made Lauren to smirk then stretched out his hand but she slapped it off.
She went to the already set table and the sight of the food made her more hungry. The neatly arranged veges mixed with noodles and fried eggs was calling her. Lauren smiled at her behavior, this is one of the reasons he loves her she doesn't pretend, he watched her eat but seeing her constantly licking her lips and the way she swallows is driving him insane.
"Don't rush, there's some left in the kitchen" he told her and she looked at him licking her lips again which made him to swallow hard.
"You shouldn't do that" he said trying not to look at her inviting lips. They soon finished eating and Claire did the dishes but she was disappointed not to see Lauren in the living room as finished from the kitchen. When she was about going inside her room she noticed the spare room door was opened, she got in but was struck rooted to the spot when she saw the half naked Lauren stepping out of the shower.
"Do you like what you see?" He asked, but he was actually surprised to see her inside.
"Um..so-sorry for that but you should have locked the door" she told him looking everywhere but his face.
"I don't mind if such beauty sees me dress up" he said as he took soft steps towards her.
"I will go ahead now" she was stopped by a firm hand holding her hand.
"Look at me" he commanded but she didn't. "I don't want to see a_" she was saying but his body wash didn't help matters. Lauren continue to tease her by tracing imaginary circle on her shoulder causing her to shiver.
He raised her chin up but she closed her eyes instead. He got drawn by her rosy red lips, he threw caution to the wind and sealed her lips with his. He sucked on her lips but he needed more, he tried to prey open her mouth but failed, so he caressed her body making her to let out soft moan. He deepens the kiss taking every inch of her mouth.
Claire who has long imagined kissing him was lost in it responding back to it.
But she suddenly stopped and pulled out from the kiss.
"I won't let you get into me with just a kiss, if you want someone to warm up your bed go get a core girl. Am not some cheap slut_ no don't touch me Lauren you don't deserve too" she said with her tears threatening to fall.
"Claire I don't see you as a core girl and neither will I go for one, am sorry for the kiss. I'll keep_" he was saying
"I don't need your sorry Lauren, why is it hard for you to admit it already, I've said it to you several times but you haven't confessed your feelings to me" she said but he smiled at her which provoked her.
"Why are you smiling_coward" she said and was about storming off but strong hand pulled her back into a firm chest.
With swift move he engaged their lips in a passionate kiss which left them breathless.
"I love you Claire, from the very moment I set my eyes on you, I became hopelessly in love with you_ sorry it took me this long to say it, i didn't know how you'd react and coupled with work" he said kissing her forehead. Claire hugged him tightly not wanting to let go, causing him to chuckle.
