Chapter 78: Blue Silver Sword Emperor, Part 2

"Hurry over, Ye Wen! Sister Liu and I have reached an agreement if we plant these willow branches throughout the Sunset Forest, she'll perform a sacrifice for me."

Ye Wen quietly assisted, gathering the fallen branches with a serious look. Although spirit beasts had no formal social structure, the plant type kings seemed to take a great sense of responsibility in preserving their species. Perhaps, in their long lives, they had come to understand the true meaning of life.

The Ten Thousand Sword Willow King, at 80,000 years of age, shed over 80 branches, and with Ye Wen and Ah Yin's combined strength, they managed to plant them throughout well hidden, resource rich locations in the Sunset Forest in under half a day. The pair held onto the final branch a new shoot, slender as any ordinary willow branch, yet it radiated a soft, golden glow. This was the last legacy of the Ten Thousand Sword Willow King, its life's core condensed into a single branch to ensure its lineage. Given its potential, this seedling could very well become a 100,000 year spirit beast.

"Let's begin…" The tired voice of the Ten Thousand Sword Willow King echoed in Ah Yin's mind.

Ah Yin nodded solemnly, sitting cross legged before the majestic spirit beast. As a fellow plant type spirit, she felt a twinge of sorrow.

A green glow emanated from the Willow King and enveloped Ah Yin. In the case of a 100,000 year sacrifice, this protective field would be unbreakable, even by extreme level Douluo such as Qian Daoliu. However, since the Willow King was just under 100,000 years, it did not have such powers. Fortunately, there were no enemies nearby to interrupt the process.

Ah Yin summoned her Blue Silver Emperor spirit, and a black spirit ring coalesced around her a clear sign that the sacrificial process had begun. She felt no pain, only a perfect harmony with the spirit beast's essence. It was a union so fluid that Ah Yin let out a soft sigh of relief.

The green light slowly faded, leaving only a vast crater where the once grand Ten Thousand Sword Willow King had stood. Unlike the cases with the Titan Giant Ape and the Azure Bull Python, who had returned to juvenile forms post sacrifice, the Willow King's spirit was lost entirely. Its spirit, while nearly evolved, wasn't at the 100,000 year threshold, and its body was now entirely absorbed.

"How do you feel, Ah Yin?" Ye Wen asked, his tone full of concern.

Ah Yin opened her eyes, radiating with joy. She smiled playfully. "Well, for starters, my spirit power level is now higher than yours, Ye Wen! I've reached level 72!"

Ye Wen playfully scowled. "Who asked about your spirit power? I was asking if your martial spirit evolved!"

Sticking her tongue out mischievously, Ah Yin summoned her martial spirit again. The Blue Silver Emperor, which once resembled flowing silk, now bore a newfound sharpness. She flicked her wrist, releasing a blue gold sword aura that carved a deep line into the earth before them.

"My martial spirit has indeed evolved, inheriting some of Sister Liu's sharpness. I think we should call it the Blue Silver Sword Emperor now! And every one of my previous six abilities has transformed."

She continued enthusiastically, "First Spirit Ability: Sworded Bind my vines can now cut through targets when they wrap around them. Second Spirit Ability: Blue Silver Sword Sea this lets me summon a mass of Blue Silver Sword Emperor vines to attack and obstruct enemies. Third Spirit Ability: Blue Silver Sword Guard it lets me create guardians made from my Blue Silver Sword Emperor. Looks like I'll need some swordsmanship practice to master it!"

She counted on, "Fourth Spirit Ability: Blue Silver Drain remains the same, but it now has additional bleed and siphoning effects. Fifth Spirit Ability: Blue Silver Overlord Spear it's sharper now; I can pierce through even a defensive type Soul Douluo with it. Sixth Spirit Ability: Blue Silver Execution Array has become Blue Silver Slaughter Sword Array it still traps enemies, but now it tears them apart with countless sword strikes."

She held up her last treasure, a radiant 80,000 year head spirit bone bestowed by the Ten Thousand Sword Willow King. "And she even gave me an 80,000 year spirit bone, the Ten Thousand Sword Domain! I can layer it over my Blue Silver Domain to double its power. Along with my seventh spirit ability, my Martial Spirit Avatar, I feel like I could now face three of my former selves at once."

Ye Wen watched her with warm pride, like a child showing off her favorite new toy. The power given by the Ten Thousand Sword Willow King had completely transformed Ah Yin's abilities. What were once pure control techniques had evolved into deadly offensive techniques, making her a truly formidable force. Unless an enemy had a phasing ability or invincibility shield, those caught in her domain would likely be doomed.

Furthermore, Ah Yin's Blue Silver Emperor, initially a mid tier Super Martial Spirit, now ranked among the high tier Super Martial Spirits, empowered by the addition of sword attributes. With her Blue Silver Sword Emperor, she could unleash sword auras in the tens of thousands, a quantity and quality that exceeded even the might of the Ten Thousand Sword Willow King itself. On a battlefield, she could wipe out thousands in minutes.

After they finished setting everything in order, they returned to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and planted the Ten Thousand Sword Willow's last core branch within its fertile soil.

In the world of spirit beasts, gratitude was as important as vengeance. The Willow King's sacrifice had greatly benefited Ah Yin, and the least they could do was to honor her memory by safeguarding her progeny. Leaving this branch in such a nurturing environment felt like the proper way to repay her gift.

After leaving Ah Lan, the Blue Silver King, in charge of watching over the newly planted sapling, Ye Wen and Ah Yin set off on their return journey to Tianxing Academy. This expedition, lasting almost half a year, had yielded them priceless treasures. Should the elite forces of the continent's factions ever learn that Ye Wen held twelve plants capable of advancing martial spirits, it would undoubtedly provoke bloodshed.

But Ye Wen knew he would need to wait until he reached the Super Douluo level to cultivate his academy's powers more openly. For now, only his nine direct disciples would receive these resources, leaving the greater ambitions for the future.
