Chapter 37 - Chapter 37. At Most, Sweep Tokyo, Be Myself, and Make a Nest for Pochita

At most, what?

Sink what?

Tokyo?

When did Tokyo become a unit of measurement?

What's going on?

After hearing the last line, Touka's mind overheated and short-circuited for a moment.

She tilted her head slightly, speaking with a bit of stutter.

"S... S... Sink Tokyo?"

How big is Tokyo? How many people? How many districts?

Could it be a target for something like this?

Hayashi nodded and continued feeding Pochita cookies.

He only said it once, just to indicate his strength and attitude.

Touka would also relay what he said and its implications to the Antique Café.

He was just slightly revealing his combat power.

If Tohru's father showed up...

He could sink the Earth.

Tohru was just reaching the age of a young dragon, still not fully grown.

If she reached full adulthood as a dragon, Tokyo wouldn't be enough to handle her. At least the country level would be required.

That night, the attack by the Ghouls happened because Tohru was nearly killed by the Sword of God. If no one had cared for her, she could have died there, hence the mess.

Her strength might not even be 0.1%, it's hard to say.

Now without the Sword of God, sinking Tokyo isn't an issue. Tokyo is conveniently by the sea.

"Ha~~~"

After confirming, Touka took a deep breath and sighed.

She pursed her lips, her brow furrowed.

Though it sounded absurd, Touka felt that Hayashi was telling the truth, and it was correct!

Because they had already guessed that Tohru was at least SS-rank.

SS-rank, she could wipe out several districts!

And she was a legendary dragon.

So, sweeping Tokyo, being herself—what's wrong with that?

No problem at all, it's very likely!

And that's not the most important part.

The most important thing is...

"Hayashi-san..." Touka muttered to herself.

She looked at the young shopkeeper, who was feeding and playing with the dog.

This handsome, easy-going man, who did things as he pleased and enjoyed running a small diner, might actually be the final boss, or the mastermind behind it all!

Tohru is powerful, right?

The Bronze Tree is searching, the Ghouls are passing rumors, everyone's fighting.

But Tohru is a waitress in his shop, happily, willingly.

Isn't this the most absurd, the most terrifying thing?

Your boss is serving tea for her boss, doing laundry, cooking!

This kid is tangled up in the end.

How terrifying could the final boss be? Touka didn't even dare to imagine.

No wonder Hayashi was so calm when he knew the Bronze Tree had arrived.

Well, this is actually good for her.

Anyway,

Touka just wants to live a normal human life and eat good food.

She looked at Hayashi, who was feeding Pochita.

Touka helped feed it a couple more times.

Then she got up and left.

"I'll go now, Hayashi-san, take care... wish you a happy life."

Hayashi nodded and waved. "Come by often."

"I definitely will," Touka nodded firmly.

Touka left.

As she left, Tohru also flew back.

She was in her giant dragon form, holding a large tree with one hand, and flew back, showing Touka her stunned expression before stumbling away.

Tohru was still flying in the air.

Hayashi extended a finger and gestured, "No tree branches, just the trunk."

"Okay."

Tohru used her dragon claws to swipe, and the branches completely disappeared.

When Tohru landed and transformed back into a human, she was still holding two bare logs.

Each of these logs was about as thick as a car hub, not small at all.

"Put them down first, let me think."

Hayashi scratched his head as he looked at the logs.

Pochita, seeing the logs and its future nest, ran over to look.

"Got it!"

Hayashi extended his hand, and an ice sword materialized.

Hayashi gestured the size of the logs.

Then, with a few swift strokes, the once thick logs were quickly transformed into slabs, emitting the natural aroma of raw wood.

Hayashi thought for a moment and then extended his hand to absorb the moisture from the wood.

This way, the wood would last a long time.

"Impressive!" Tohru watched as the logs transformed into wooden boards. "This craftsmanship, truly deserving of an incredible chef!"

"You're really good at compliments."

Hayashi released the ice knife, which disappeared into thin air.

Looking at the wood, he turned to Tohru.

"Is there any magic that can turn these boards into a small wooden house? If not, we'll have to go buy nails and a hammer to make it ourselves."

Tohru tilted her head in thought and then suddenly came to a realization. "Yes, there is!"

Hayashi nodded. "Remember to make two."

With that, he stepped aside.

Tohru stepped forward and cast her spell on the boards.

Hayashi watched, and it looked very much like the Wood Style from Naruto, but not exactly the same.

Under Tohru's magic, the boards began to assemble like LEGO blocks.

They would break down into different shapes and reassemble.

Wouldn't this drive LEGO enthusiasts and glue lovers wild?

Soon, under Tohru's magic, the wooden boards gradually formed two small wooden houses.

They looked like miniature sloped-roof houses, but they were incredibly solid in both appearance and construction.

Hayashi was very satisfied with the result.

The one outside, placed in the yard, looked like a sentry booth for guarding.

That's where Pochita would stay during the day.

The one inside, by the stairs, was going to be a bit more luxurious and comfortable. It would be Pochita's resting place at night.

"Not bad," Hayashi said, looking down at Pochita. "How do you like it, Pochita?"

"Woof~!"

Needless to say, Pochita was already rolling around in it.

Hayashi and Tohru exchanged a high-five.

"Well done."

Later, Hayashi placed the two small houses in place.

Pochita bounced around excitedly between them.

At the same time, Hayashi took a small knife and cut a little wooden door in the corner by the wall.

The size of the wooden door was just enough for Pochita to enter and exit freely.

Even if the big door was closed, it would still work.

Clap clap~

After everything was set up, Hayashi clapped his hands.

"Perfect, Pochita, do you like it?"

"Woof~!" Of course, Pochita was already happily spinning around.

At that moment, dusk was approaching, and the sun was setting.

Business hours were almost here.

But today, something was strange—no customers had arrived early for the opening.
