Everyone in the room just watched and turned to look towards the door.


But even after about a minute, nothing happened. No sound of footsteps. No creak of the door. No one came.


Marcus's eyes twitched. He walked a few steps closer and shouted louder.


Marcus's hand curled into a fist. A vein popped near his temple.


He muttered a curse under his breath, voice low and sharp, "Useless dog…"


Seeing him so helpless and irritated Iris was amused as she stepped forward, her face calm, lips curved in a small, smug smirk.
