She was so disgusted that she wanted to throw herself away.
Immediately, she got out of the bathtub and turned on the hot shower. She increased the pressure of the shower head and had the water splash down on her body with some force to scrape off all the dirt.
It took over ten minutes to clear everything then she used shampoo on her hair and shower gel to clean herself. Once she was clean, she used another five minutes to clean the bathroom.
After everything was restored to its original state, Leng Pan walked out of the bathroom and went to the closet to get dressed.
As soon as she stood in front of the full-length mirror, she was shocked by the beauty of the person in the mirror. Was that really her?
After transmigrating, even though she had the same face and body like the one she had in the real world, she found this new body more beautiful and delicate as the owner was raised in luxury and took care of herself.
However, she never knew that she could become even more beautiful. Now looking at her reflection in the mirror, she felt that the pain and disgust were worth it.
She also realized that apart from her body looking more beautiful and tender like water could be squeezed out of her skin, she also felt lighter. It was as if she could fly.
She didn't understand this feeling but she thought it might be useful in the apocalypse. Thinking of this, she got dressed quickly and called her husband to come to her apartment with his little brother.
She then went into the kitchen and took out two more mugs and filled them with spiritual spring water.
When the two came in, she didn't wait and immediately gave the water to them.
"Drink it." She said.
The two men each took a mug in a daze and drank it without even knowing what they were drinking.
They had been shocked silly by the changes in Leng Pan. They had seen each other less than an hour ago, what had happened to her at that time?
Why was she as beautiful as a fairy? Lu Zhen wanted nothing more than to take his wife to bed at that moment, strip her naked and examine every inch of her. He wanted to bury himself deep inside her to make sure that she was real. This felt like a dream.
"Ah Zhen, go into the bathroom in the master bedroom and fill the tub with water and sit inside, and Tao, the guest room on the right side of the master bedroom can be used. Do the same and fill the bathtub inside with water and soak in it.
You guys will need it." Leng Pan instructed, seeing that they had finished the water.
"Why? What's going on?" Lu Tao asked, but Lu Zhen didn't ask any questions as he started walking towards the master bedroom.
He trusted his wife unconditionally and will do as she says without questions.
Seeing his brother going to do what he was told without even asking for the reason, Lu Tao had no choice but to do the same.
As they were filling the bathtubs, they started experiencing the same kind of pain Leng Pan had gone through.
Lu Zhen hurriedly filled the bathtub, took off his clothes and sat inside naked.
Lu Tao in the guestroom was in so much pain that it took him longer to undress but eventually, he also sat in the bathtub. The pain was too much for him and he started screaming like a pig in the slaughterhouse. Luckily, the soundproofing in the apartment was good and those outside didn't hear his screams.
After twenty minutes, the brothers went through the same process as Leng Pan and only came out after cleaning. Leng Pan had taken some of their clothes from the space and placed them on the beds.
The two got dressed and as they looked at themselves in the mirror, they also saw and felt the changes in their bodies.
Now they understood how Leng Pan had changed so much in less than an hour.
While Lu Tao admired his new handsome self, Lu Zhen felt his heart ache in pain. He couldn't imagine that Leng Pan had experienced that kind of pain alone and didn't even make a sound.
He walked out of the bedroom and found his wife waiting in the living room with several hard drives and tablets connected to the internet router. She must be downloading some movies and books for entertainment later.
He also connected his phone to the internet and started to download some training videos.
He placed the phone on the table and sat down next to Leng Pan. He hugged her close to him and just sat there in silence.
Leng Pan understood that he was uncomfortable because of the pain she had felt but she thought that it was nothing. After all, the benefits were visible to the naked eye.
"Do you think I should give mom and the others the water?" She asked after some time.
"Better not. It will be difficult to explain now if you do, but we can give it to them later." Lu Zhen said.
The apocalypse had not started yet and bringing out something so magical might not be a good idea. He was still thinking about how to explain their changes to his mother and the others.
The changes were too obvious to ignore. He could just tell his brother not to ask questions or say anything because he knew that his brother would do as he told him, but the elders were different.
"Are you thinking about how to explain our changes to the others?" Leng Pan asked.
"Mmm…they are too obvious. They will want to know what has happened to us." Lu Zhen replied.
"Let's say it's an experimental drug to improve health that a friend of yours who owned a research company he developed. It was already tested and is safe, so you ordered the first batch. I don't think they would question such a reason." Leng Pan said.
