Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The fall of the Twilight Empire III

Amid growing tension, representatives from the main factions of the magical world—from the British Ministry of Magic to the International Confederation of Wizards and several pure-blood clans—gathered in a private session, hidden from public knowledge and the press. The atmosphere was thick with nervousness, distrust… and determination.

The vote didn't take long. Although some, like France and Germany, expressed certain reservations, the majority leaned toward direct action. The result was clear: a silent war against the Twilight Empire. It wouldn't be officially declared, nor published in newspapers, but resources and forces would begin to mobilize from the shadows. Elite groups, undercover Aurors, creature hunters, and combat-specialized wizards would begin to be recruited under the pretext of "special training" or "international security reinforcement."

But none of them knew… Noah was already aware.

And instead of informing the elders, he made sure that this information reached no one.

Meanwhile, the members of the Twilight Empire's council remained absorbed in discussions about trade routes, territorial distribution, and minor disturbances caused by rogue werewolves, completely unaware of the storm brewing beyond their borders.

Noah watched in silence, like a chess player who had already seen twenty moves ahead.

A week later, during the night, the Twilight Empire suffered a calamity.

Without warning, a force composed of hundreds of thousands of wizards from different countries appeared on the nation's borders. Using Portkeys and portals, they deployed rapidly at key points, launching a coordinated attack. Within minutes, entire cities were thrown into chaos.

The creatures of the night, caught off guard, barely had time to react. Some tried to organize a defense, but the surprise and scale of the attack made any real resistance difficult. Vampires organized small defenses in plazas and rooftops, werewolves attacked from nearby forests. Veela and other magical hybrids counterattacked with forbidden spells. But the numbers were against them.

Meanwhile, in the main castle, Selene awoke to tremors and distant explosions.

She dressed in a hurry and rushed out of her chambers, crossing paths with servants running in different directions. The castle's magical alarms were ringing everywhere.

Without delay, she headed straight to Noah's quarters. She pushed the door open with force—but the room was empty. Everything was in place, as if he hadn't been there all day.

Frowning, she glanced around briefly before letting out a sigh.

"Of course… gone, just when this happens."

Wasting no more time, she fled the castle, flying away from the city as chaos spread across the country. Explosions and spell lights lit up the night sky.

As the siege on the Twilight Empire reached its peak, the nation's defenses were already on the verge of collapse.

The creatures of the night, though formidable, were unprepared for such a massive and well-coordinated attack.

The enemy wasn't an isolated group or a specific nation, but a coalition of wizards from nearly the entire continent, united with a single purpose: to neutralize the threat they believed the empire represented.

The night sky, shrouded in thick clouds, barely allowed the moonlight through.

Then, a strange phenomenon silenced the chaos of the battlefield.

The clouds began to swirl. The wind stopped. Everything seemed to fall still.

Soldiers looked up—only to see a figure appear above them, riding a colossal black dragon whose outstretched wings covered much of the night sky.

It was Noah.

He wore no armor or ceremonial robes. Only a plain black cloak, unadorned. His expression was calm, without anger or visible emotion. He surveyed the battlefield for several seconds, wordless. Then, he looked toward the center of the enemy formation, where the attack leaders stood.

The wizards leading the offensive, including Dumbledore, watched him warily and prepared for battle.

Without saying a word, Noah closed his eyes.

At that very moment, both wizards and night creatures felt an unimaginable dread course through their bodies and shake their minds.

Their most primal instincts screamed a single word: run.

Dumbledore's group didn't hesitate—they raised their wands at Noah, but it was already too late.

A vertical slit appeared on his forehead, opening to reveal a gray vertical eye that unleashed a wave of power into the ground beneath their feet.

A second later, a network of symbols began to glow underground. For months, Noah had been slowly carving an alchemical circle that spanned the entire territory of Romania, in preparation for this day.

The symbols activated one by one, forming crimson lines that raced across the country in a second, forming a colossal transmutation circle.

At that moment, every being with magical power within its borders began to collapse.

Wizards or night creatures alike—none were spared.

Only the Muggles were unaffected, falling instead into a deep sleep caused by the alchemical circle.

Some wizards tried to resist, but their bodies quickly weakened, as if their hearts had stopped beating.

Tiny blue lights, barely visible, began to rise slowly from the lifeless bodies. Hundreds of thousands of souls started converging with every passing second. All moved toward the same point: beneath the royal castle, where the circle's center was hidden.

There, the souls began to slowly condense.

In little time, a large Philosopher's Stone began to form, nourished by over a million magical souls gathered within the country on that very night.

But the process didn't end there.

From the circle itself, dark tendrils emerged from the ground and began connecting to the corpses strewn across the various battlefields of the nation.

The bodies began to wither rapidly, drained of all life force. Muscle, blood, tissue—everything was reduced to dry husks.

The extracted energy was precisely funneled to the circle's center, but into a different chamber, where a second Philosopher's Stone began to form. Unlike the first, which was composed of spiritual essence, this second stone was made solely of life energy. It lacked the vibrant glow of the first. Its color was darker, denser, like a ruby that absorbed light instead of reflecting it.

When the process ended, the entire country was covered in withered corpses.

Noah descended slowly into the underground chamber, gazing at the life stone floating at the circle's heart. Then he turned his gaze to the soul stone.

Both were complete.

He closed the vertical eye, and with it, the circle slowly deactivated. The crimson lines faded, and everything returned to silence.

Gazing deeply at the scene he had created, Noah sighed—and with that, his body vanished into nothingness.
