Inside the Only Room Assigned to Swordhart House
It had been about ten minutes since they got back from the headmaster's office.
Alina stood in the middle of the small room, her eyes wide with disbelief. She pointed around the room, then at each of them.
"So you're telling me," she said slowly, her voice rising, "that the headmaster expects all four of us to live together… in this one room?"
Her frustration spiked, and she felt the curse words bubbling up in her throat. She hated swearing but in her head, she was screaming
You idiot sandwich old man! What the hell is wrong with you?!
Max scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Honestly, it had been hard staying quiet for the last ten minutes. The moment they got back, he had expected Alina to snap or maybe even cry. After all, she'd stormed out of the headmaster's office, clearly upset. She had even called the headmaster wrong to his face. Max thought she'd explode once they were alone.
