====================

Although it was a chaotic era, there were still some who did not wish to be part of the struggle—be they dragons, gods, or others. Some of these beings, unable to change the course of the world, could only do what they could to protect the weak.

Of course, there were also those who didn't care about anything at all—as long as they themselves were fine, they didn't give a damn about others.

One day, a young, still immature dragon—just like always—wanted to do whatever it could to ease the tragedies caused by the battles between dragons and gods.

That day, the young dragon, a little too sleepy, fell asleep while flying.

"Ugh, it's hot... so hot..."

In its dream, the dragon felt unbearably warm, like it was being roasted over a fire.

When it opened its eyes, it found itself tied to a metal rod, slowly being rotated over a blazing fire below.

A dignified member of the dragon race, being roasted alive? Who could have done such a thing? Giants? That seemed possible.

Looking around, it spotted various strange corpses—skeletons, and what looked like cursed, mud-like remains of shattered bodies. Most of them appeared to be human women.

Then, it saw someone—or rather, a dragonkin—working on repairing what appeared to be one of the broken corpses.

Its pupils contracted.

The young dragon immediately recognized who this dragonkin was. That distinct lightning-marked right eye confirmed his identity—the Demon King Rostar Ignatius.

As if sensing the dragon had awakened, the Demon King let out a cruel smile, one that looked like he truly intended to devour it.

No—he really was planning to eat it. He even had a knife and fork in his hands.

"You dared destroy my masterpiece? Fine, today I'll find out what pure dragon meat tastes like!"

The Demon King spoke in a twisted voice, his eyes glowing with a fierce red light.

Destroying the Demon King's masterpiece? Was he referring to those corpses?

The young dragon suddenly remembered the terrifying rumors—how the Demon King enjoyed abducting beautiful women from among humans and elves and turning them into dolls.

Now, it seemed those rumors were true.

At that moment, the young dragon was filled with rage and tried to retaliate—only to find itself tightly bound.

It had only one option: use its ability to reverse time and return to the moment before it fell asleep.

Though the young dragon possessed the rare and powerful ability to manipulate time, it was still young and couldn't alter the entire flow of history. That's why it didn't recklessly attack Yazuki.

After all, this was someone even the gods had placed a bounty on—someone capable of slaying adult dragons.

One wrong move, and it would lose its life.

And so, the young dragon initiated an invasion of the Demon King's castle—not to attack Yazuki, but to rescue the humans, elves, and fairies who had been turned into dolls.

However, each attempt failed.

The Demon King would always detect the intrusion immediately and counter it with a barrage of lightning attacks, forcing the dragon to flee in a panic or rewind time once more.

After several failed attempts, the dragon realized something: its time-reversal ability seemed to have no effect on the Demon King.

Yazuki always seemed to remember her and was fully prepared every time she came.

Eventually, during one such attempt, the dragon was caught before it could rewind time.

The Demon King viciously stabbed it in the rear with a sharp metal spike—what humans would call a needle—causing it to let out a terrible scream.

At the same time, a strange curse was injected into its body, throwing its magical energy—its mana—into chaos, making it impossible to reverse time anymore.

Now truly captured, the poor dragon was once again placed on the roasting rack.

"Achoo! Achoo!"

The sneezing came from the dragon inhaling some kind of seasoning the Demon King was sprinkling onto its body.

Even in such a state, the dragon didn't beg for mercy. It continued to glare furiously at the Demon King.

Finally, when Yazuki pulled out a terrifying syringe-like tool—clearly planning to inject something directly into the dragon—the dragon's fearless expression crumbled.

As the needle approached, the young dragon began to tremble, tears as large as buckets welling up in its eyes.

Then, at the very last moment, it had an idea: if a dragonkin could shift between human and dragon forms, couldn't a dragon also transform into a human?

It had heard rumors of dragons taking on human forms, though such cases were rare.

Even though it could no longer use magic to reverse time, the dragon still managed to gather a little mana—coating its entire body—and began to shrink with all its might.

In Yazuki's eyes, the once ten-meter-long black dragon now shrank into... a loli?

Golden hair shimmering like sunlight, a small round face with a hint of baby fat, skin smooth and white as snow, large heterochromatic eyes brimming with tears, and a tiny, animal-like curled-up body.

In human terms, she looked like a helpless, fragile, adorable creature.

A weak, pitiful, and innocent little loli dragon girl—causing even the Demon King to freeze in shock.

Then Yazuki's gaze changed.

Terrified, the little dragon girl began to tremble. Yazuki muttered things like, "An actual loli with anime attributes... incredible."

"Wait a minute... Anime? Did he really say anime?"

"Yes, he definitely said a word that would translate into your world as 'anime'."

Responding with a puzzled expression, Lucoa didn't think there was anything wrong.

"Lucoa-san... did your world even have the concept of anime back then?" asked Megumi Kato.

This second question finally made Lucoa realize something was off.

Back in that era, Lucoa's world had never made contact with Earth.

In their understanding, there was only one world. There was no concept of other worlds existing.

Beyond their world was only void and emptiness—farther out lay the ultimate forbidden zone: the Absolute Voidstorm. Anything that entered that realm would be erased from existence.

It was essentially the end of everything.

However, at some unknown point, a hole formed in the barrier of the Absolute Voidstorm, allowing some beings to pass through.

That was when they discovered the existence of other worlds.

Of course, by the time they could locate other worlds (including Earth), it was already many years after the Demon King had vanished.
