Gigi looked like she was going to burst from excitement. She squealed and clapped her hands together lightly before taking her family's invitation from me and pulling out her phone to capture the moment on IG.
As with most high society circles, certain parties served as the ultimate status symbol, an unspoken confirmation of one's place at the top. Getting an invite to such affairs wasn't just an honor; it was proof you were considered an equal by those who ruled the social hierarchy.
