Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Orphanage Attack

A Quiet Day Turned to Chaos

Mia hummed softly as she carried a basket of fresh vegetables into the orphanage kitchen.

The children ran around, laughing and playing as the caretakers watched over them. This place was her escape, a sanctuary where she could momentarily forget about training and simply help those in need.

She had been visiting this orphanage for years, bringing food and supplies whenever she could. Seeing the kids happy made all the hard work worth it.

But today was different.

The air suddenly turned cold.

A sinister presence loomed over the orphanage.

Then—the ground shook.

A dark crack split the sky as a portal to the Sanzu River ripped open.

Moogers poured out, their grotesque forms swarming the orphanage like locusts.

The children screamed.

Mia's heart pounded. The Nighlok were here.

The Red Ranger Appears

Mia instinctively moved to protect the children, standing in front of them with her arms outstretched.

The Moogers raised their weapons—

Then, a crimson blur streaked across the battlefield.

A flash of red and silver.

The first Mooger fell before it even knew what hit it.

A second later, another collapsed.

The Red Ranger had arrived.

Mia's breath caught in her throat as she watched the figure move with impossible speed. His sword danced through the air, cutting down enemy after enemy with effortless precision.

He wasn't just fighting. He was dominating the battlefield.

The Unstoppable Warrior

Mia had heard of the Red Ranger. Everyone in the Samurai Clan knew about him—the leader of their future team. But she had never seen him in action.

Now, she couldn't look away.

The Moogers tried to overwhelm him, attacking from all sides.

But the Red Ranger didn't hesitate.

With a single motion, he traced a glowing kanji in the air—"Speed."

His movements blurred, becoming too fast for the Moogers to react.

He weaved through their ranks, his sword flashing like lightning.

Mia's mind raced. This is… beyond anything I imagined.

The Final Strike

A large Mooger, twice the size of the others, stepped forward. It swung its massive blade at the Red Ranger.

But he was already moving.

In a single, fluid motion—

He dodged.Spun around.Slashed upward.

The Mooger froze—then collapsed, defeated in one strike.

Silence followed.

The battle was over.

Meeting the Red Ranger

Mia stood frozen as the Red Ranger finally turned toward her.

Even though his helmet concealed his face, there was something about the way he carried himself.

Composed. Unshaken. As if this battle meant nothing to him.

For the first time, Mia realized—he wasn't just a warrior. He was a force of nature.

The children peeked out from behind her, eyes wide with awe.

The Red Ranger didn't say anything at first. He simply looked around, ensuring the Moogers were gone.

Then, he finally spoke.

"Is anyone hurt?" His voice was calm, yet firm.

Mia quickly shook her head. "N-No. Thanks to you."

A brief nod. "Good."

Before she could say anything else, he turned and walked away.

Just like that, he was gone.

Mia's Secret

Mia watched him disappear into the distance, her heart still racing.

She had seen him fight. Seen the true power of the Red Ranger.

Something told her—he was hiding even more.

She wouldn't tell anyone what she saw today. Not yet.

But one thing was certain.

This Red Ranger was unlike anything she had ever imagined.
