Chapter 5 - The Little Princess and the Wolf

Tang's estate, Tang Rou's courtyard.

"Miss, Mo Xuechen is here" the handmaid said and Tang Rou face brightened as she dropped the comb in her hand.

"Let him in," she said excitedly.

"Yes, Young Miss," the handmaid replied, then walked out to fetch Mo Xuechen.

****Mo Xuechen POV******

"You asked for me young Miss" I said as I entered, I wasn't even looking up and then I heard the handmaid close the door and I heard her walking towards me. Suddenly I saw two dainty feets in front of me "Raise your head up handsome" I heard a childish voice and confused I quickly lifted my head up "What the fuck" I said out loud seeing what was in front of me.

A girl who looked to be 14 or 15 was standing in front of me half naked with a drunken look on her face as she looked at me seductively "Who the hell are you?" I ask before quickly moving backwards *Don't tell me she's the Tang family golden daughter* I thought to myself "What's the issue senior brother" She said as she moved closer towards me "Don't you like me? Am I not attractive enough Senior brother" she said as she looked like she was about to cry.

"What the fuck" I couldn't help cursing again "Stay away front me kid" I said moving backwards until my back touched the walls of the room and Tang Rou suddenly began crying out loud *Is this really the girl who killed the other me* I thought confused as I looked at the little girl in front of me and I walked towards her and rubbed her head.

"See little kid, I'm an adult okay, and you are a young girl. I don't have a fetish so call me again when you are older" I said and I tried to leave and then the whole room atmosphere changed and I felt the girls aura rising "Who are you?" She asked. "You called me her kid. I'm Mo Xuechen" I replied confused as I felt the Foundation building level aura she was releasing and I was surprised.

She was around 4 years younger than me but she was already this strong. "If you are just a slave for my family then explain how you where able to see through my illusions. I make the best illusions among the kids my age in Xueyue City so if you don't tell me me who and how you aw through my illusions, I'm going to have you buried Tonight" She said threatening though she looked cute my senses told me her threat weren't empty ones.

Quickly I brainstormed for an excuse. "I'm resistant to illusions okay, I didn't even know you had one and what is a little girl like you think?, Using illusion magic to indulge yourself in a five minutes pleasure. What are you? Stupid" I said and then the sense of danger I was feeling intensified "It's none of your business low life. Now take of your clothes before I take of your head" Tang Rou said with her eyes seeming to bore a hole though my head.

"See kid I'm not a pedo and I wouldn't touch a girl who is lacking flesh on her bones" Mo Xuechen said as he knocked Tang Rou's head leaving her confused "What is a pedo"

I growled.

"Somebody who likes little children. The wrong way," I said coldly, turning around. "And I'm not one of those pervs."

Tang Rou blinked. Her drunken gaze dispersed like smoke on a windy day. "So. you're saying I'm a child?"

"Not just saying. You are one." I turned for the door. "Get your illusions straight next time. That was sloppy work."

Before I could push the aside, the air cracked.

Tang Rou's presence burst forth like a tide, crushing down upon the room like a boulder. A wave of murder intent rolled in, cutting and slashing. If I was still the miserable slave boy of before, I would've soaked my pants.

She appeared before the door before I could shove it open no sound, no movement. Just there like she teleported.

Her robe closed completely wrapped around her now, hair pulled back tight into a bun, eyes no longer soft and come-hither but calculating.

"You insulted me twice," she said, her voice frosty as she had a deep frown on her face. "Most men would be begging to touch my feet."

"I'm not most men." I grinned, unfazed. "I'm not into weeping toddlers with too much makeup."

Her eye twitched.

I knew I should shut up. I couldn't take her out in a fight Foundation Building cultivator or not she was the Tang family golden daughter, they would chop off my head. But there was something about individuals like her that just makes my mouth run.

"You're not like everyone else," she said, her eyes narrowing. "The illusions, the pressure, the scent I used on you, nothing worked."

"Get better products next time. The seller ripped you off."

She didn't smile. She pulled out a jade slip from her sleeve. A burst of spiritual pressure released, forming glowing symbols in the air. A soul-binding contract.

"I was going to make you my cultivation partner," she said, her voice now expressionless. "You would've had the privilege of cultivating with Yin along with a family prodigy, it would have been fun."

"I'd rather cultivate with a rock," I growled.

The jade slip cracked in her fingers.

She spun around, wheeling towards her vanity. "Get out."

I didn't move.

She glanced over her shoulder. "I said, get out. "

But I simply stood there, looking at her in the gleaming bronze mirror. "Next time, don't use illusions to test others. You want a cultivation partner? Earn it."

Her hands froze.

"Also," I said, smiling as I finally succeeded in turning the handle, "I'm into older women, not little girls playing games with toys they can't handle."

Then I left, the door closing softly behind me with a click.

**Tang Rou's POV**

Silence. For a few moments, the air was heavy in her courtyard.

Her lips quivered not from grief, but from fury. That brat… that low-born slave had insulted her. Shamed her. Spurned her.

That had never happened before.

She stood before the mirror, looking at her own face. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached out to take a talisman beside the comb.

"Not normal…" she breathed, eyes burning. "Fine. Let's see what makes you so special."

She pressed the talisman to her forehead. Her consciousness burst outward a whisper. An infiltration technique that had broken down stronger minds than his.

It stuck to his aura just at the courtyard gate.

And then—

Crack. Her spiritual consciousness cracked

Her eyes widened. Her spiritual thread recoiled like a whip cracking in her head. Pain shot through her head like lightning. A metallic flavor filled her mouth.

Tang Rou staggered backward.

*Cough!*

Blood splattered on her bronze mirror.

"What.?" she breathed, eyes wide with shock. "He repelled it… reflexively?"

Only a man of utter mental discipline or a soul forged in blood and conflict could do so without conscious effort.

Her pulse rate dropped. Not from fear, but interest.

Mo Xuechen was not another lucky cultivator.

He was lethal. He was the bane of anyone who uses mental techniques.

*Servant courtyard*

Mo Xuechen scratched the back of him head. "What was it I felt just now" he asked as he looked around. "Well I guess it's nothing" he said and he went to sleep.e
