Chapter 72 - Chapter 71: Twelve Marble Tiles, Sealed by Danzō!

"Three more left…"

Kaze cast a glance at Danzō's arm—the embedded Sharingan were quickly losing their light.

Three kills, plus the self-detonation using Wood Release, meant four Sharingan had already been spent to activate Izanagi.

Worth noting—Izanagi wasn't a one-time-use jutsu that rewrote a single event.

Rather, it allowed the user to freely overwrite reality as long as it was active, nullifying any fatal blow within its duration.

So Kaze was deliberately structuring his attacks in intervals that forced Danzō to trigger Izanagi, then waiting until the Sharingan on his arm dimmed—only then did he make his next move.

A battle between ninja was, at its core, a battle of information.

And Kaze, who wielded near-omniscient insight, now held the scales of victory firmly in his favor.

"Shave!"

With a thunderous crack, Kaze stomped off the ground with explosive force, fracturing the marble tiles beneath his feet into a web of cracks.

Utilizing the high-speed movement of the Six Powers, Kaze once again flickered to Danzō's front.

"This brat…"

Danzō's nerves were strung taut. Even with his Sharingan's predictive vision, he could only barely follow Kaze's movement.

But…

His body couldn't keep up.

"Move…! Damn it, move!"

He caught a glimpse of his own right hand in the corner of his vision.

He could feel it—there was no numbness, no paralysis—but he couldn't raise it in time.

It felt like time itself had frozen.

But no such time-freezing ninjutsu existed.

This was no illusion—Kaze's speed was simply so absurd that it made the world around him seem still.

Zzzhhhk—!

In that instant, Kaze's lightning-forged sword swept sideways, slicing straight across Danzō's abdomen.

His body was cleaved in half, right then and there.

But Kaze didn't push forward for more strikes. He tapped the ground with his toes and backstepped, instantly reestablishing distance.

Before a full breath could be taken, he had safely pulled away.

As for Danzō—his bifurcated body began to shimmer and blur.

Moments later, his whole form reappeared again, fully intact—Izanagi had rewritten death once more.

But this time, Danzō wasn't calm.

Kaze's timely retreat meant Danzō couldn't counterattack immediately after reviving.

It gave him a sense that Kaze already knew what was going to happen.

"…That feeling again…"

Suddenly, even the ever-slow-to-realize Danzō seemed to piece it together.

From the very beginning of their fight, he had felt it—that nagging sense that something was off.

And the more they clashed, the stronger that feeling became.

Now, finally, he understood.

It was Kaze's composure.

No matter what Danzō revealed—be it a full arm of Sharingan, or the grotesque face of Hashirama on his shoulder—Kaze never once showed shock.

It was as if… he had known everything all along.

Then there was the pattern of his attacks. Kaze would strike, kill, and withdraw, every single time.

And the intervals between each assault?

They matched exactly the span of Danzō's Izanagi durations.

"Could it be… this brat has my entire playbook memorized?"

"But how's that possible… even Hiruzen doesn't know my secrets…"

Danzō furrowed his brows, a faint sense of anxiety creeping into his chest.

Meanwhile, Kaze reached into his ninja tool pouch and pulled out a single coin.

"Lightning Release…"

As he flicked the coin into the air with his thumb, Kaze activated the power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, generating a compact electromagnetic field in his palm with currents of electricity.

The next instant, the coin dropped—and from within that field, a terrifying pulse surged, propelling the coin forward like a railgun.

To ensure the attack would land, Kaze had left behind a physical shadow clone directly beneath Danzō, hidden beneath the stone tiles.

As Danzō sensed danger and tried to leap out of the attack's range, the hidden clone burst up from the floor and latched onto his ankle.

"Damn it…"

Danzō felt a tug and instinctively tried to activate Izanagi again.

"Super Electromagnetic Cannon!"

With a sharp shout, Kaze's coin, fired by the electromagnetic pulse, shot straight through Danzō's abdomen—flesh, organs, everything turned to ash.

Kaze could even see the scenery behind Danzō through the hole in his body.

But just like before, Danzō's pierced body quickly faded into mist.

A fully intact Danzō appeared off to the side, coolly driving his vacuum blade into the floor, piercing the clone hidden below.

He then glanced at his arm.

The fifth Sharingan had just closed.

"This time… it seems you miscalculated."

Danzō spoke slowly.

A mere three-second discrepancy had let him use a single Sharingan to rewrite reality twice.

Then again, Kaze wasn't a god.

How could he get the timing perfect every time?

Still, having burned through five Sharingan had drastically depleted Danzō's chakra.

He only had three more Izanagi activations left.

It was now or never.

With that, Danzō hardened his resolve and took the offensive.

Though he still couldn't figure out how Kaze escaped the Root Burial Jutsu, he had more cards up his sleeve.

"Wind Release!"

Charging straight at Kaze, Danzō formed a rapid set of hand signs.

"Vacuum Serial Waves!"

He fired a volley of razor-sharp wind blades from his mouth, cutting off Kaze's retreat.

Meanwhile, the Baku—his summoned beast—had finally shaken off the effects of Kaze's Fire Release. From its nostrils erupted another blast of steam. Its eyes burned with rage, and despite the lingering pain of its scorched skin, it inhaled with force that began to drain the room of air.

Under the influence of the Baku's Wind Release, Danzō's Vacuum Serial Waves doubled in size and power.

While Kaze could nullify Wind Release attacks in his elemental form, he couldn't escape the suction effect of the Baku.

"I had planned to take your Sharingan and let them serve the future of Konoha—just like your parents, who died on the battlefield."

As he spoke, Danzō tore off his shirt.

Revealing the sealing formula etched onto his chest—none other than the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing!

"But now… you and your eyes will disappear together!"

As the seal activated, black blood splattered from his body. The Four Symbols Mark swelled into a glowing sphere, rapidly expanding to engulf the entire space.

Of course, Danzō had no intention of dying with Kaze.

The moment the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing activated, he used Izanagi to rewrite reality—placing himself outside the seal's range.

Watching as Kaze, still trapped by the Baku's suction, couldn't escape the sealing zone, Danzō allowed himself a victorious smile.

Finally…

It's over.

He exhaled with relief and glanced at his arm.

The sixth Sharingan had just closed.

This was his win.

Boom!

But just as Danzō was basking in triumph, the Kaze caught in the Baku's suction…

Suddenly turned into a puff of smoke.

It was just a shadow clone!

And right after that—

Danzō's Reverse Four Symbols Sealing successfully sealed… twelve beautifully patterned marble floor tiles inside the Root base.

(T/N: That was a funny ending. Anyway hope you all enjoyed this chapter.)
