Della showed Tina to a guest suite in the quiet wing of the house, a sunlit room that overlooked a blooming garden of lilies and colorful zinnias, flowers she had enjoyed planting herself with the gardener.
"This is so beautiful," Tina breathed. "I've lived in a tiny cabin in the woods, alone, for longer than you can imagine." She took in the rich mahogany furniture, the luxurious jacuzzi tub, and chuckled softly. "It's been so long since I soaked in a real bath. I can hardly wait. You have a lovely home."
"Thank you," Della replied, "we had it built when Alexander took over as Alpha King. Too many bad memories for me in the original Montgomery mansion, although we still use it for events, and his father and stepmother live there."
"Ah, yes. Thomas Montgomery." She chuckled. "So many grandsons, and with Lily, a granddaughter. I look forward to meeting Thomas."
