When Lucas returned to the lab, Patrick was already waiting for him. Beckoning Lucas to hurry up, he rubbed his palms, preparing to test the product they had created.
Lucas's lips twitched, and he gave Patrick a cryptic stare. 'Did this man even eat his dinner?'
"Patrick, when did you return?" he asked, picking up a new set of protective clothing.
The one he had worn previously had yet to be washed. So, he could only settle for a new set.
"An hour ago."
Lucas glanced at the time on the EchoTag and noticed that more than four hours had passed since they created Veltrazyne-X and left for it to mix well.
The time was right, and without delaying any further, the duo started with their first test.
Dropping a few droplets of Lucas's blood into a petri dish, Patrick extracted a few drops of Veltrazyne-X from the container using a Pasteur pipette and added a drop to the petri dish.
