Felix didn't know. He had absolutely no idea what to think. Agreeing to Kade's suggestion felt like getting out of one trap, only to fall right into the next. But if he were to compare the two options…
"We would have to take a long break," he eventually said.
"I know," Kade nodded his head.
"A very long break."
"I… understand."
"And even then… I can't make any promises. Without the fated bond, I might not be attracted to you at all." Fat chance, but at least Felix's words sounded confident.
"I am aware," Kade nodded his head once again, undisturbed. "I am asking you for a chance to court you, not for you to promise to date me."
Felix bit on his lip, eyeing the Alpha suspiciously. Was it really that easy? Was Kade willing to take a step back? Of course, that was only supposed to be temporary, and once he returned, he would bother Felix again…
That is, IF he would return.
